pricey but awesome with short hair 3/4/2010

Steve gives a consistant great cut on short hair that grows into something still stylish a few months later. I have ""difficult"" hair in it's straightness, thickness, and multiple cowlicks, but my mother even likes my haircut after I have seen Steve. And that speaks volumes. She goes there now too and finally after 60 years of lousy cuts for thin fine hair--with a wash and go, no more curlers or perms!, she get compliments all the time. He is a professional at making people look stylish and sexy. And the price, it's not NY or Newbury St prices, but still surprises me in the suburbs. Approx $70 +tip for a cut and blow dry. And they have a nice assortment of jewelry and handbags. Pros: consistant great cut, convienent location Cons: $$$, actual time vs appointment time more

A touch of chic in a strip mall 9/10/2009

I love this salon and had the owner, Steven, cut my hair for many months. I always let him do whatever he wanted - I trusted him! He always gave me something different, current, and s*xy. I always left feeling chic and beautiful! Heather is also wonderful - she's very warm and friendly. It is expensive, so that's why I left off the 5th star. But if you're looking for a relaxing, chic environment in town - this is the place! more

A Huge disappointment for clients, the Salon Industry, and the Franklin community.... 12/23/2008

A disappointing recent experience sent me looking for ways to hope others can be spared from this ""Lack of Lusture"" Hair salon in Franklin. Don't be fooled by the ""Showy"" store front, this salon is all about making money and not embracing clients beauty desires and customer satisfaction.\r My 15 yr. old daughter went in for a cut and highlight with a great stylist, who offered suggestions and was patient and kind. As we all know the end result speaks volumes in meeting clients expectations. My daughter liked her hair when we left, but it was still wet. When we got home she was a little disappointed because she thought she told the stylist that she wanted more low lights than high lights, trying to blend the darker roots to the lighter ends....looking for a blended natural look of ""Dirty Blonde"". I let my daughter sit with it a day or so to really be sure she wanted to talk with the stylist and see if she could add in some additional low lights. I called the salon, and they didn't let me speak with the stylist and said someone would call us back, well 2 days later, and no phone call. I called the salon again, the owner got on the phone and said that they would not be able to service us and we could not speak with the stylist who was lovely. I was quite surprised a salon owner, whose sole role is Customer Satisifaction and biggest client draw is satisfied clients would react to a young person in such an unprofessional manner. There was no willingness to meet with her to talk about what she was disappointed with and possibly add a few more low lights to adjust\r the balance in color. He was abrupt and rude, with no apology or compassion. We were the client spending good money ($ 75.00 for a partial highlight) I find it hard to believe the business at L'Equipe Salon is so good in these ecconomic times, they can just send clients elsewhere to address their lack of service. There are about 15 great salons in Franklin, we shall explore one of those. \r Pros: Stylists are wonderful, warm and caring but under a management style of an Italian Gustapo, makes it difficult to have your own voice Cons: The owner is all about making money, and not servicing clients and having them feel Fabulous when leavning after their treatment. more

Great hair cut, color and service! 8/21/2008

I love this salon! Heather and Seth, who take care of the salon and front end desk and boutique are incredible. Heather knows the stylists and what they can do and will lead you in the right direction. She is also fantastic at makeup application - she did my makeup, complimentary, after my hair cut and I looked so good that I made my partner take me out that night! \r \r Debbie who does most of the coloring is a genious! Pure genious! Steve is the owner and is personable and professional.\r \r I love this salon and cannot recommend them enough! It's a little touch of Boston in little 'ole Franklin. more
