The previous two opposing reviews gave me a kick and illustrate the nature of Lee's. My mother loves this place and my sister and I roll our eyes and take her, it's Chinese food the way she thinks of it: egg foo yung with gravy (my favorite), deep fried versions of almost everything (shrimp!), nearly carmelized sweet and sour sauces and a fortune cookie at the end. And don't forget the tucked nygahyde booths and the colors gold, black and red. It's probably the supportive bunch of barflys in the back that keep the place humming day and night, just like in the days before coffee shops provided gathering spots for our generation. Lee's delivers on the Chinese the old way. Not high quality, but will satisfy that nostalgic itch if you have it!
Pros: Nostalgia, old standards, comfort food
Cons: quality, freshness, calorie count
