I had a really great experience buying a car from James Goldman at Lee Johnson. I was helping my 17 year old daughter buy her first car. She was buying it herself so price point was a huge factor. James worked with us and let us know about several used cars that could be in her price range and still be safe and reliable vehicles. Despite me asking a bunch of questions about the used car and pushing for the best deal my daughter could get, James stayed positive with no pressure and supported us through the purchasing experience. James Goldman provided my best car-buying experience ever! 8/8/2011

Recently my wife and I set out to test drive three cars - a Mazda CX-9, a Honda Odyssey, and a Hyundai Veracruz. We drove from Seattle to Kirkland because dealerships with those three models were in close proximity to each other over there. Our first stop was the Lee Johnson Mazda facility. We were greeted by James Goldman in a friendly and relaxed (not a pushy salesman) manner. He quickly brought out a CX-9 in the trim model we wanted to drive, and off we went. We were thrilled with the drive of the CX-9, but told James that we intended to drive two other models before making our buying decision. James asked if he could quote the price at which we could purchase the car, and I told him he could, but that I intended to seek online quotes from several dealers and purchase from the dealer who gave me the best price with the least hassle. I had thoroughly researched the models I was considering that day, and knew exactly what I should expect to pay. Imagine my surprise when James quoted a price well within the range of what I expected to pay. My wife and I quickly decided to forego further test drives and accept James' offer. As we filled out the paperwork, James mentioned that we would also get a $500 rebate and 0 percent financing for five years. I wanted a hitch for my bicycle rack, and the cost of the hitch, the sales tax, and the cost of the license were all wrapped into the financing. Our total down payment was the $500 rebate, and our first payment is due in three months! I chose the copper-red color which was only available from a dealer more than 50 miles away. James arranged for the car to be brought to Lee Johnson that evening, for the hitch to be installed the next morning, and for me to pick up the car at 3:00 the next afternoon. We absolutely love the car. I have purchased quite a few cars, and I can say without reservation that purchasing from Lee Johnson with the assistance of James Goldman was the best car-buying experience I have ever had by a huge margin. more

Impossible Request Fulfilled 8/5/2011

Internet car shopper, I stumbled upon Lee Johnson Auto Family via an online ad, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment that I met with Josh to the follow up I received from James to the closing of the deal with John we were treated as important and valuable customers. We made the impossible request of finding a car for $150/month or less and this dealership bent over backwards to make it happen. They even leveraged their out of state contacts to set up a loan with our credit union from Oregon. They returned with an astounding 2.99% APR and a monthly within 12% of our original request. Thanks to Lee Johnson Auto Family for the great experience, they've become the only dealership with whom I'll do business in the greater Seattle area. I'll be coming back for a 2013 RX-8. Quick Easy and Painless..not what you'd expect from a dealership! 8/5/2011

I had THE BEST experience of my life at Lee Johnson. I walked in knowing what I wanted and James found my perfect match. He was kind, courteous and professional. No pressure at ALL. I was in and out of the dealership in a little over 2 hours, and that included financing. That is unheard of where I come from. I can't think of a single thing that they could improve on. Lee Johnson Auto Family is the Best!!! 6/16/2011

Had I wonderful experience working with Brian Elich at Lee Johnson of Kirkland. Took him 15 minutes to put me into the car, that best suited all my needs. Was very impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge of everything cars, important characteristics to have if you are going to be selling them. Will be returning in the future, for my husbands replacement car, and will seek out Brian for his outstanding customer service, no problem giving this excellent salesperson a 5 star rating. Also... I love my free car wash pass (for life) perk, was the icing on the cake!!! I am thrilled to now be a part of the GM Family!!!! more

Greate place to buy a car 4/27/2011

Due to an auto accident that was not my fault we were suddenly in the market for a new car. My wife and I decided that we were going to look at either a Ford Focus or a Chevy Aveo. At Lee Johnson when we looked at the Aveo we decided that we didn't like it so we looked at the Cruze instead. Our salesman, Brian Elich let us test drive one and we liked it. We had already decided that we would not be buying a car that day and that we were going to be looking at other dealers to see what other deals we could get. While at the dealership, Brian told us that they had another Cruze that was their weekend special that didn't have some of the options that the one that we test drove had so was cheaper. There was no pressure to buy at that moment like there was at other dealerships that we visited that day. After visiting other dealerships we decided that we wanted to buy the Cruze that was on special. We called Brian and let him know that and he said that the car was still there. We told him that we would be there the next day to buy it. When we got there the next day, Brian told us that after he left for the day, another dealership in the Lee Johnson family had come and gotten the car and sold. He then worked with the manager of the dealership and got us the car that we test drove the previous day at the same discount as the weekend special. We left with a new car. We had used the dealership before for maintenance on our Saturn Relay after Saturn went out of business and were pleased with the service we got which is why we went to them for a new car. We would use this dealership again. They are a big lot and have a lot to choose from and as I said before there was no pressure to buy on the first visit. more

Borrowers beware! 2/23/2011

I went to look at a Mazda CX-7, the sales person was increadibly pushy. He even put his head in his hands and shook his head because I was not ready to purchase right then. I was very serious so I gave him my SSN to check and see what interest rate I could get . I dont have the best credit so I was nervous and know that having your credit checked can show negatively on your credit report. Not only did Lee Johnson check my credit that day but he did it again a few days later without my permission. I got a notice from my credit watch agency because these two hard inquiries did make my score go down. Additionally, I spoke with BECU about getting a loan today and was told a hard inquiry is not even needed at this stage! Please, from consumer to consumer, should you choose to go to this dealership, do not go through thier finance department as you never know what they will do with your SSN. more

As a first time vehicle buyer I was not sure what to expect. Had a great experience buying a new Chevy. Everyone is open, down to earth and relaxed. I didn't feel any pressure throughout the day. We’re now happy owner of Mazda3, which is a great compact-size car considering its safety rating, ease to control and cute looks. This is the first Mazda we ever bought.
