10/09/11 I've been shooting for years at many ranges over the years. I once took my son to Lazer Tag and there was a long 10 min instructional orientation on how to use the guns and safety before you enter the range. NONE of that at L.A.X. Firing Range. There is no one supervising the ingnorant people waving, and pointing loaded firearms in and out of the lanes. After whitnessing a man sitting on a back bench with a shot gun i knew this was a DANGEROUS place. 10 minutes into shooting at my lane a man SHOT HIMSELF IN THE HEAD!! Aparent Sucide. BRAINS EVERYWHERE. This place is DANGEROUS! STAY AWAY! At least untill someone FINES and changes the safety of this Business more

Good Location to come to when ur finna bust a cap or two... The range is clean and the targets are good, I picture it as my lanlord sometimes and aim for the forehead.. LOL more

After many visits to this range I have finally been hurt. Simply put I was struck in the back by a ricochet, which not only punctured my skin and startled me, but to add insult to injury the staff told me "it happens, what do you want us to do". I was injured here and the staff couldn't have cared less. They even charged me full price for my 5 minutes of hell. I have found out that the ammunition that was fired was illegal and was not caught when checking in. Hence the incompetent staff who didn't even go in to investigate who or what may be firing carelessly or illegally. So, I'm hurt and pissed at the establishment and I warn you to take extreme caution when going to this range. P.S. The people who go in here are less than desirable members of society. Good quality range all around. I took my girlfriend here to try some different styles to learn what's best for her. The staff did a great job of making suggestions and giving advice. I've been back several times myself. more

I have been here quite a few times, but the last time I went to take my girlfriend on her birthday, there were about 3-4 young black guys who clearly did not know how to safely handle a firearm. They were so careless that they pointed a loaded and cocked rifle right at my face. They were sitting at the bench way behind the firing line waving the rifle around and shooting down range. I was very hisitant to walk out of the range because in order to do so I would have had to walk through their line of fire again. The people working there were not paying attention at all. When I managed to leave we told the poeple who worked there who did not really seem to care. I told them we left way early due to the dangerous situtation but still had to pay full fees (very expensive). The situtation ruined my girlfriend's first shooting experience and she does not want to go ever again. I would not recommend this shooting range if you are looking for a safe shooting experience. Cons: Expensive and Unsafe more

LAX Firing range is one of the safer and nicer gun ranges in the area. safety first it seems which is vital for a gun club. prices and gun selection reasonable and staff knowledgeable. you can rent a gun or bring your own. more

I visited this firing range a couple of times. I just like to try out my aim a number of times and this is the place to do it.\r \r It is a small place and sometimes there are alot of people so you may have to wait.\r \r Parking is ridiculous, maybe 3 spots so you will have to park on the street. more

A 75 foot indoor shooting range with 14 stations. Great cast of folks work here. Very knowledgeable. Always willing to help out. A FULLY stocked pro shop. An outstanding gunsmith (T.J.) is available. Call for times he is on site. Great ammo deals by the case. Holsters, gun cases, knives. They have them all. Various shooting lessons, classes, etc. available. A novice shooter can get proper training (make an appointment) and be ready to fully enjoy shooting with confidence and safely. Great choice of rentals. Glocks everywhere.... AR15's, .357's 44 magnums, 500 Magnum. Absolutely terrific choices.. Advanced shooters will find everything that they need. A great place in a central location just off the 405 freeway and Manchester, to bring a friend and get them involved with shooting. Make sure that you purchase the Shoot 'n C targets that highlight your shots. Very helpful in an indoor range. Instant gratification when you make the right shots. I use them all the time. Excellent lounging area with a big screen TV to wind down or have a spouse / friend relax while you shoot. Too lazy to clean your guns?? LAX will do it for a VERY reasonable price. You simply can't beat this service. A clean gun keeps you shooting straight and extends the life of your investment. Watch some TV while they clean your valuable toys. Wow!! Place is kept clean and organized. Parking can be an issue, but one just needs to be creative. Get over to the LAX Firing Range and put a smile on your face with some good shooting. 7TCU more
