I was looking around for a good place to start my shooting hobby and found this range, which is just about on my way to work. They rent handguns and rifles and sell both factory-new and reloaded ammo (obviously, the reloaded ammo is cheaper).
I was surprised at how good their ammo prices were (especially considering that as a resident of LA county, I cannot mail-order ammo (some kind of law or convention due to all the gang violence :().
They offer a variety of paper targets that are very competitively priced. They also sell exploding targets (which scared the sh*t out of me when someone hit one a few lanes over when I was shooting), which do seem to be pretty fun.
Their storefront has a decent selection of accessories, and they do stock guns for sale, but only for law enforcement. They recommend Turner's for civilians who want to purchase their own.
