Why are there so many mixed reviews? This place is a mess. I would consider the owners must have to stay up all night posting bogus reviews in order to stay afloat based on the few horror stories I've heard in person... call a local vet and ask their opinion of Laughlin first. more

We bought a Christmas pup at Laughlin kennel in Oxford MA. This is not our first Laughlin pup. We bought the last one 12 yrs. ago. We were so happy with him we would never go anywhere else.The Kennel was a busy place lots of people who wanted a Christmas pup. There was a young man named Chris who helped us. He was great! He helped my kids pick the pup that was a perfect fit for our family. Not to big, Not to small just right! I loved that they had a contract so we could all see what is expected of both us the puppy owner and the kennel. Our pup went to the Vet today and is in perfect health. Our new pup is learning fast! he loves his big bother( Our older dog). We had some questions so we called and talked to Christine, She spent a lot of time with us. The Laughlin Staff is top notch just like the puppies they sell! I highly recommend Laughing Kennel! Pros: You get to leave with the pup that is right for you more

This is second little yorkie we have bought from them. We knew we wanted a pup so we watched their web page until we saw the most beautiful little girl in the world. We called them and drove right out. Everyone is so helpful. They Talked to me for a long time answering My questions. After I got my puppy home I had a lot of questions. My first Yorkie didn't like her new Little sister. They helped us though that I think they talked to me every day for two or three weeks. I bought a Puggle with a hypoplastic trachea too. I also bought the extra contract that when came time to collect was useless. I don't have time to get a lawyer and sit in court which I'm sure these folks are banking on. Dont be fooled! Stay away from Laughlin. more

I was skeptical at first that all the bad reviews were truly indicative of this place, but after going and seeing it in person I have to agree with the bad ones. If you do buy a pup from here be sure to ask them which congenital defects are salable and which ones aren't. I asked them and their answer scared me. Pros: n/a Cons: park on street more

Run don't walk away from this place. My son is going through a nightmare with these thieves. He's lost over a thousand dollars in vet bills and has a heart full of ache. I spoke with the owner before he bought the pup and she seemed nice enough, but when you have to do talk with her for anything else other than giving her money the owner becomes very ornery. She dominated our conversation so I couldn't even say anything. I would not recommend this puppy mill broker to anyone. It's one thing to sell someone a sick dog, and another to be rude about it. more

The staff is helpful and can answer all of your questions. It has been a very long time since we had a puppy, so we needed a lot of help. When we called to book an appointment they told us if we came during the week they would have more time to spend talking, so that is what we did. We picked a beautiful pup who has changed our life for ever! We love her! The vet said she is a healthy beautiful girl! WE certainly think that she is! more

I just wanted to let the whole world know all about how happy I am with my Laughlin Kennel puppy .I bought three years ago, for the kids. She has been a God send to our family. She has been happy and healthy from day one. We were so happy with our first pup we went back and bought a new pup two weeks ago. A We have had a repeat of a happy experience! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, This is the only place I would go to buy a pup. The next time we want a pup we will go to Laughlin and I will recommend the to all my friends. My family went to Laughlin Kennel because we were looking for a pup. We looked all over! We started with rescues and shelters but they didn't have much and what they had was just not what we wanted. The shelters were hard to deal with. It cost about the same to buy a new pup! We found Laughlin on the web. They have such a beautiful web site! You can see all the dogs on the web and shop all you want! We even printed out pictures of the pups we were interested in. When we got there they brought them all to us! We were helped by a man named Chris and a man named James they were so helpful. They warned us before we came that it could be busy on the weekend and it was. We bought two tiny little Puggles.We had to wait and take our turn when we bought them but we had to wait at the vet too! I would highly recommend Laughlin. My family is so happy with our new family members! We took both the girls to the vet and both were wonderful! Beautiful and healthy!!!! No problems.The dogs were clean the place was clean.My family had a wonderful experience. We will go back and I will tell all my friends to go there when they a pup. To the person who made that last review, why would I just give you your money back. I DO run a business and even if I did sell you a sick dog, it wouldn't be very profitable to hand over all the money you just gave me. I bought a puggle with a hyperplastic trachea. I also thought ahead and per the office kids suggestion bought the ""extra"" coverage in case he had a congenital defect. When we called them back we got the run around and to this day have not seen one dollar honoring our contract. I contacted the dept of agriculture and they informed me that its completely legal to sell dogs with this condition even though other officials have vehemently stated otherwise. My husband and I were looking into getting a puppy for our grandchildren to enjoy when they spend time at our house. We read on the internet that the Laughlin Kennel had a variety of puppies. When I called for information, I asked the nice young man who answered if they got their puppies from puppy mills, suspicious that they seemed to have one or two of nearly every breed. We read very mixed reviews on your site, 25% of which were negative, but we decided to see for ourselves. The place is very ramshackle and the smell was terrible both inside and out. We told the same young man that we were not interested in puppies that were shipped. He said there were a couple of puppies raised there that we could see. We were shocked when he brought the puppies up. They did not look like normal puppies. One was shaking and shell-shocked but the second one was either very ill or completely traumatized. He could not life his head or respond. He just slumped in our arms. When we put him on the floor he couldn?t stand up. We then asked to see the mothers. That was even more heartbreaking. Both mothers were obviously not used to being outside a cage. One was terribly thin and had very little hair. Neither mother had any interest in human beings and both were extremely skitterish. We concluded that they had perhaps never been out of a cage, except to be bred. We felt sick and helpless. We didn?t want to support this place by spending the between $850 and $1,100. they were charging for these two puppies, but we wished that we could save them. We walked away feeling terrible. I went to this place to look at a dog and it was someone's house, which isn't abnormal, but you can't see the pups. I heard the sales girl talking very rudely to someone on the phone. I didn't bother to stick around to find out what would happen to us. After seeing it myself I would seriously doubt that these people stay in business very ethically. more

I do not recommend Laughlin Kennel. My boyfriend and I purchased a pug from this place about a year ago. When we brought her home she was coughing violently and had bad bowel problems. When we took her to the vet, we found the dog had coccidiosis, internal parasites, ear mites, and was malnourished. Since we live nearby Laughlin, our vet knew their reputation. He said they are notorious for buying sick puppy mill dogs that are transported from the midwest. Our pug is from Kansas. He also said we were lucky that our puppy had those few sicknesses, and he had patients from Laughlin with far worse problems. Although the pups look very healthy, they will probably grow to inherent medical problems as they were bred in puppy mills. Please go to a local shelter or a breeder. This place is not worth the money, and needs to be shut down. more

We bought our first puppy at Laughlin kennel 15 or 16 years ago. It was A nice Dalmatian. His temperament was outstanding. We bought our second Dalmatian some place else. We Loved her but she was not as nice our first. Last year we went back to Laughlin and bought a really nice Wheaten Terrier. She is the best! When we bought her she was up to date on shots and had been checked out by a vet. We took her to our vet who agreed she is a beautiful healthy pup. She is a little over a year old now and we decided to get one more. We loaded the kids in the car and drove back to Laughlin Kennel. The people are nice and easy to deal with. An hour after we got there I signed the contract and we became the proud owners of our 3rd Laughlin pup. I took her to our vet and she is wonderful. I will never go anywhere else to buy a pup. If you want a puppy go to the LaughlinKennel web site. they have a great site. They keep pictures of the pups they sell current and update them often. That was nice. We could see the pups and we knew that a pup we wanted would be there .I recommend Laughlin Kennel to anyone who wants a healthy well bred animal. Pros: Helpful staff more
