Landry's Seafood House

I recently visited landrys as I entered a beautiful host greated me, but I decided to go to the bar, they had happy hour, a very friendly bartender greated me she was a cute red headed girl, she asked if I would like a cocktail, but I just got a beer. I ordered from the happy hour menu the crab spinach and artichoke dip had a good amount of crab in it, as I was told it would, I loved it, I also had the fish tacos the bartender told me it was a bad idea, she was right! But she got me something else ti replace it. Everything was good. No complaints, I had fun. I will be back soon. more

I recently visited Landrys with a group of friends 7 to be exactly we were propmtly seated and promptly greeted by a server name chris his smile captivated us he was very friendly and started by asking if we wanted a cocktail or glass of wine. We turned down the offer, he then got our drink order and recommended the crab dip as an appetizer. We order that and a shrimp cocktail the crab dip was excellent it was fresh and hot served with chips so it was easy for us to share he then took our orders and made small talk at the same time he was an excellent assest to this restaruant. We recieved our food in a timely manner. I can't exactly remember how long because the atmosphere was so great we were engulfed in our own little world. Our food was excellent everything tasted magnificent I ordered the blackened mahi. I can't speak for my friends but mine was excellent we were stuffed by the time chris brought our dessert tray to us. But we were on vacation so we decided to have a new York cheesecake with the pursuasion of our waiter of course the presentation of the dessert portrays the same of it's model. Stick a fork in us because we were done we enjoyed everything about this establishment and suggest it to everyone we come in contact with more

My wife and I were staying in San Destin and wanted to get outside of the resort so we decided to go to Landrys. We were told that the wait would be 30 minutes and we were seated in less time, however when we entered the restaurant there were plenty of empty tables(At Least 25) and there were at least 15-20 people waiting to be seated. Our waitress was pleaseant however she seemed over her head since we had to wait quite a while to receive our drinks and other diners were getting up on their own to look for help. The food was very average, in fact for this restaurant on the Emerald Coast i believe that most of the seafood on the sampler platter was previously frozen. We also ordered the Bananas Foster which turned out to be more of a banana split, not even close to bananas foster. When it came time for our check we waited at least 10 minutes and then had to get someone else to get the check for us. I would suggest looking for a local restaurant rather than this poorly managed chain restaurant. Loved Landry's. Me and the wife were seated very promptly (10 minutes). The food was very excellent and there was a nice selection of items on the menu to select from. Dessert was also great. Service was good even though we had trouble understanding our waiter through his accent. He really made every effort to do a good job and it showed.
