Lamar's Appliance

It's not often you get service on something in your house and feel really good about it afterward, but this was one of those times. I've had two other appliance repair companies come out on different issues, and I wasn't happy with either. Either they didn't give good customer service, were late, were terribly expensive, or their repairs were ineffective. I decided to try Lamar's based on all the good reviews. And those reviews were right! Lamar's was great! They were polite in taking my call, they have better rates than anyone else (they have one flat charge plus parts where the others I called had a service fee, diagnostic fee, labor fee and parts charges), and they even came same day. Once there, the repairman was professional and courteous. He quickly found the problem with my dishwasher--the motherboard is failing. And though he could have told me my whole part needed replacing right now, instead he got my dishwasher working again and just let me know how much the part would be when it eventually went out. It saved me at least $100 on a part that isn't quite broken yet and may run quite a while longer. You never get honesty like that anymore! Thanks, Lamar's! I would for sure recommend Lamar's. Fast, honest, friendly service. i had called in the morning he was here by noon to fix my washing machine. more

Lamar's was a great find. I called them when my washer needed repair. Lamar's was able to come the next day and quickly repair the problem. When my washer later had the same problem, they were out the same day with quick friendly service. The washer works great now and they were able to see why it broke a second time and find a better fix so it wouldn't have the problem again. I plan to use Lamar's for any future appliance needs. It is great to know that good service at affordable prices can still be found. more

We went with a private handyman first who didn't fix the correct problem with our broken washer. As a last ditch effort before we would sell the washer as trade-in to a refurbishing place we called Lamar's Appliance, in hopes to save money. Daniel came the next day and in less than 15 minutes our washer was working again, no parts needed, just a tune up. He was nice and encouraging (something I appreciated as a pregnant woman) and asked me appropriate questions as I explained the problem with our washer. I would call them again if something else in our home broke without question. The other guy (not from Lamar's) was here for almost two hours. He took the whole thing apart, took out a few parts, that didn't seem related to the problem, before putting it back together incorrectly, and telling us we needed a new part, that he didn't even examine in the first place. We purchased the part and replaced it ourselves. Our washer still did not work. We are still waiting for his call back so we can get a refund on the part we didn't need to buy to begin with, as I put the old one back in and the washer is working thanks to Lamar's Appliance. I would have been thrilled with Daniel (from Lamars' Appliance) even without the first private handy man. So do yourself a favor, and go to Lamar's First!! more

I cold called Lamar's on a Saturday for a broken fridge. He was kind enough to talk me through possible problems and what the cause may be. The service was prompt and when he discovered that it was only a clogged drain line he fixed the clog and only charged me for the service call. I would absolutely recommend Lamar's. I certainly plan on using him for all or future appliance needs. more

We manage 143 rentals in Utah County. Certainly you can imagine how often we have need for appliance repair. Before we found Lamar's we worked with several other service techs who really just didn't have a clue what customer service is all about. In dealing with the no-shows, high priced invoices and frequent call backs, we just came to believe that all appliance guys were cut from the same cloth. Now we only work with one repair shop: Lamar's. The service is fast, quality, and now we've come to believe that an appliance can be fixed quickly, inexpensively, and the first time.
