BEWARE of Lake Tahoe Glass! The owner, Garret is not only unprofessional but a liar! It all started with a window slider door replacement. The door was an oddball size so I understand the difficulty of the project. Garret on the other hand, not so much. He sent his techs out to our cabin 14 times to measure then Mr. Garret shows up. We asked him ""why so many times on the measure?"" His response ""It's my money, I have to spend my money to order this window!"" and became so irritated over our question he pushed the screen door off. When questioned about his action, he responded with ""it does not matter, you're getting a new one anyways!"" I informed him that he bent the screen and I wanted to use the old screen (which was in excellent condition) on the other slider (not being replaced) he told me he would fix it. Well, after 2 wks. nothing. When my wife and I called to tell him to bring us the screen, Garret said ""what screen!?"" When we reminded him of his actions he went on another rampage yelling ""I never pushed your screen out, I never said I would fix your screen!"" When we questioned this, he said ""take your (f-word) business elsewhere, I don't need to do business with you.\r \r Word of advise. I would avoid this business at all cost! Garret needs to learn how to treat people with respect and the only positive was his statement of taking my business elsewhere, and we did! Oh and by the way...we saved over $200 on the slider! So I guess we owe Garret and big thanks for that. more

The representative I spoke with was not very nice. I scheduled an appointment a few days out. They called 20 minutes before the appointment and told me that they were not going to come out but they would call me to figure it out. After an hour wait I called them, still not helpful. Made a new appointment where I go to them and was told ""ready in an hour."" 2 hours later I show up and they don't even have the windshield at the business and a guy from the Windshield Pros was working on it. I'd take my business elsewhere but not a lot of options in the area. Called Windshield Pros for a week and left messages and no return phone call. So now its been 3 hours and LT Glass hasn't even called me to let me know that there is an issue and it will take longer. When it was finally complete I asked the woman at the desk what was the problem and she made up some story about the installer being new. I spoke with the installer (from Windshield Pros who is the brother of the owner and has been doing it for years). LT Glass straight lied to my face and bagged on their competition who was helping them out. These guys suck and don't deserve to stay in business. In this tough economy, I'm surprised when I get such poor customer service. more

I wanted to give my business to a local glass shop over going to Reno. I looked around and this was the cheapest place I could find. Little did I know that it was because they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE. I made an appointment to have my windshield fixed and the incompetent staff took an appointment for a town they wouldn't have serviced. What kind of place is open for 30 years yet does not know how to train their staff on towns nearby, or just places that THEY ACTUALLY SERVICE. Besides that the glass came in defective and although it was important for my car to get fixed before the weekend, THEY MADE ME WAIT 3 DAYS. When I spoke with the owner on Monday morning, he told me that my order was a hassle and that his employee messed up the address. What kind of a paying customer wants to hear about all of the things that the shop SCREWED UP ON. It wasn't my fault, yet the owner was rude and treated me like it was my fault that I wanted him to drive 20 miles to fix my car. UNGRATEFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. This shop will waste your time, and then blame you for you wasting their time. I have NO CLUE how people could be return customers at such and unorganized shop.... OH wait, its because its cheap, but so is the work!!! more
