Lady Of America

This place is good as far as comfort since it's an all ladies gym, but as far as management or facility it's poor in every possible way. Management is only concerned about getting members so they get more money but none of it goes into improving the gym as far as equipment, cleanliness etc. The facility is old, beat up, dirty and equipment is old and most of it is broken. The price might be reasonable but to be honest it's still overpriced for the kind of gym that it is. more

The management couldn't care less about the members and their concerns. The place is filthy, the equipment outdated and not maintained properly and overcrowded. They continue to take in new members without any regard for the surroundings, the maintenance of their equipment and place hasn't been cleaned in years! I only go for Joan's classes and she is a great instructor, very good routines, better than other big gyms! Gym improved lately, and for the price you pay it is ok overall. more

I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life. I have finally found a place the truly cares and offers the type of classes that not only keep me interested but has just the right mix of strength and cardio. I absolutely LOVE the Zumba intructors, we always leave smiling and sweaty!! more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING A MEMBER OF LADY OF AMERICA! I've been a member of almost every gym in White Plains and I always just did a basic workout...usually, the treadmill or elliptical machine for 30 minutes and then I would leave. At Lady of America, the classes forced me to push myself for the full hour and once I got my stamina up, I was doing 2 or 3 hour-long classes in a row! I lost 50+ pounds and I feel so great about the way I look. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited to go shopping and wear new outfits and I could not have done it without the instructors at Lady of America saying ""1 more set..u can do it!"" or ""you're almost done, just finish it up!"" I'm in the best shape of my life and now fitness/health has become a priority in my life. I feel so much more comfortable in an all women's gym and don't feel intimidated to do different kinds of workouts. The instructors always change up their routines and keep things interesting. For such a reasonable price, you get so much. I can't thank them enough for getting me to where I am now and helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle. more
