I signed up three years ago with my sister and brother's girlfriend. I'd never had a gym membership and didn't know what to expect. The very nice girl who worked with us assured me that it was super easy to cancel if I decided to, and that I should just sign up with the three year to save some money. I'm naive - I believed it. When I called the gym to cancel a year and a half later, I was told there was nothing they could do, and was directed to their billing company, National Fitness Financial Services, who told me I had to supply a copy of my drivers license and a bill with my name on it at my new address, which had to be something like 20 miles from a gym. I gave up and accepted that I had made a stupid mistake by believing their sales pitch, but I just called the billing co. to confirm that my three-year membership is ending in February and the customer service rep told me 'somehow' my billing status had changed from yearly to monthly after the contract is up. I've heard of this happening to other people online, which is the only reason I called to make sure. \r

The gym itself is nice and everyone there is always friendly and smiling, but their management is tricky and deceitful. Just be sure you know what you're getting into with these people.
