Best

Absolutely love this Tapas restaurant. We have been going to La Tasca for past 16 years with boy friend...

Worst

Now I remember why don't go out on NYE. They DOUBLED the price of the menu, but kept the portions same...$50 pitcher of sangria and $14 for 6 pieces of bacon wrapped dates? Co...

Nice, but tiny portions 4 BIG price tags. 1/2/2006

Nice ambiance except for the front foyer where you wait to be seated next to a smoky bar. The food tasted great as we started with Sea Scallops. This was delicious but pricey at over $15.00 for 1 tapa. Due to the prices we decided to get an entree to fill us up then follow with one more tapa. The entree was so small (I understand tapas should be small, but $40.00 got us the following: One 3oz. lobster tail, 2 regular size shrimp stuffed with about 1/4 teaspoon of lobster, and 3 mussels and a dipping sauce. When our waiter brought it out I thought it was a joke. We ate much more bread in order to fill ourselves up. And ended with a tapa of Patatas Bravas which respectful tapas restaurant has. Overall it's nice, but the cost/protion ratio is a slap in the face. Pros: good food, John(Srvr) was great Cons: Far too expensive, Small, even 4 tapas more

¡Más sangría, por favor! 9/21/2005

If I could live here, I would! The menu is in constant flux, so what you get today, you may not get next week, or even the next night. And that is a good thing! There is the usual standard offering of Paella on the menu, but it is NOT the standard Paella. My only regret is I can not go into the kitchen and kidnap the chef to take back home, and teach me. It is fun for kids, because they can order as much as they want, and it will not break the bank. It's good for groups because everyone can get what they want and can try everyone elses. And even better (wink-wink) for couples looking for romantic night out. This is one of the most refreshing breezes to hit the Arlington Heights area in a long time. If you don't visit, heck - it's your loss! Pros: EXCELLENT Sangría, Menu selection, Feels like Madrid Cons: Parking, Reservations a must! more

Just as good as Park Ridge location! 4/6/2005

Usually I go to the La Tasca in Park Ridge working in the city but met some friends in Arlington Heights, and the food was just as tasty as the one in Park Ridge. Very cozy, good service, clean, and romantic. Try the goat cheese, baby octopus, bananas/dates, lamb chops, sea scallops, WOW! Great crowd, but the one in Park Ridge is still my favorite restaurant, atmosphere is second to none! Pros: tapas, people, atmosphere more

Great Plate 9/25/2002

To the point. Complimentary Valet, Roomy bar with talkative and freindly bartenders. Short wait of 20 minutes on a saturday night. Great waitstaff and of course a great tapas meal with only spending 30 bucks for a couple. I love great food, great price makes my mouth water. Must try! For first timers the waitstaff will walk you through it. Have fun, share, and enjoy the food. You only live once right? more
