Great pasta! 9/12/2007

First of all, I have to admit that the prices for this quaint little restaurant have skyrocketed over the past few years (I think we paid double than what we used to.) it's very small, but I suppose that makes it both romantic and service oriented. The menu is pretty simple- a pasta with 3 different sauces are available that day and salads/antipasta. The pastas are great and perfectly al dente. I felt like I was back on Mulberry Street. It gets crowded as there are only a handful of tables, but it's a real gem. Pros: Pasta Cons: price increase more

Don't waste your money 5/17/2007

This place was run by the same lady for more than 20 years and served the best pasta I had ever eaten. She sold it a couple of years ago and it went straight downhill after that. It is already on it's second owner since she left and it is a sorry excuse for Italian food. This new owner raised prices and thinks he is a chef. I guess these days you buy a restaurant and a chef's skills by osmosis? Yes it is that bad. This place had a great reputation for good reason but it's gone now. Pros: It's still in a cool building Cons: the food is awful more

Don't miss out! 7/25/2005

This place is tough to find but well worth taking the time to explore and find. It's small and so different than anything I've seen here! I had the antipasto with tuscan beans, marinated artichokes and mozzarella cheese. Then I had the spaghettini with pesto sauce. It reminded me of the pesto I had in Florence! I really like the ambience and being able to see them preparing the food in the kitchen. I will definitely come back again and again. This is not your big chain Italian restaurant. It is something very special. Pros: inexpensive, authentic, great service Cons: no reservations more
