Professional and accommodating 2/14/2011

I have been a client of La Novita for the past 10 years and I can't say enough about the personalized service that I have received from all their staff throughout all these years! Jenn is the most talented colorist/hair stylist I have ever been to! I am always getting compliments about my color and style. I also go for facials with India,she is just superb!! Can't wait to go back! All in all I must say that this Salon is very professional and accommodating to their clients. I even brought my granddaughter in when she was visiting from Ohio to Jessica and she loved her! Great stylist, listened to what she wanted!! more

Treated very well 2/11/2011

I''ve been a client for about 2 years. I receive hair cuts regularly and have used the massage services about 5 times. The cuts and highlights are the best I've had. I am complimented frequently! The products are excellent and the price is competitive. Jessica is amazing at what she does! The massages are to die for and the relaxation areas are extremely peaceful. The salon is beautiful and you are treated very well from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. You are offered various drinks and light snacks while you wait and you can even surf the web while your hair sets more

Awesome pedicure and manicure 2/9/2011

awesome pedicure and manicure from linda. she's meticulous! the atmosphere was so relaxing even though you're in the same room as the hair salon. I was offered tea, coffee, wine, water. the lighting was great and i was able to just chill out. i will definitely be back. more

Never feel out of place 2/3/2011

As far as the employees attitudes- if your overwhelmed by the class that the decor provides to La Novita, you probably will feel out of place. I'm sure that wasn't their intention in the design plan, but rather to make you feel like even if your not the richest person in the world, you deserve to feel like you are when you go there! Trust me, I'm a young professional that is far from well-off money wise and I never feel out of place here! If someone doesn't smile at you- smile at them- easy as that! more

More than good to me 1/31/2011

On one occasion I ran in to see if anyone had time to wax me- all the estheticians were booked so the salon's manager offered to take me!!! The chances of this happening in any other salon are far and few! I believe her name was Joelle maybe- but despite her name, she was more than good to me despite the fact that this was not her responsibility and she simply took me out of the goodness of her heart! more

I'm super offended by the negative feedback on these review sites as I have had nothing but good experiences! Angela Federico is by far the most innovative colorist I have run into in the industry- no one else has touched my hair since 2004! She's amazing! I could talk all day about her talent, her positive attitude, or her need to make sure that each and every customer of hers is completely and utterly satisfied with her services!!! Lisa McDonald is also held in high regard in my book! On several occasions I have had to see Lisa for a blow dry etc, and I have never been disappointed. Her professionalism and talent is also impeccable. more

The whole feel of this salon is customer satisfaction. Yes, you may wait 15 minutes for your stylist, but are you not asked if you would like a free glass of wine, a cup of coffee, etc? If that's not customer service then I'm not really sure what is I suppose? From the relaxing and beautiful wash room to the computer station, it seems to me that La Novita has done nothing but try to make the salon a convenient, comfortable, relaxing place where clients can come and not worry about a thing! Unlike other salons where the washroom is a frenzy of people chatting, La Novita tries to make this a relaxing process- If that offends you- you need to have your hair done somewhere where the concern of the stylists is getting you in and out of the salon and making another dollar- not to assure that you are relaxed. more

La Novita is TOP NOTCH!!! 1/18/2011

I have been a customer of La Novita for about 6 years now. I watched as Anthony and Anne renovated little things here and there to the point that they renovated the entire salon adding on a beautiful spa! The decor and feel of La Novita is TOP NOTCH!!! I have had my hair done in some of the best salons on Newbury Street and have NEVER been so impressed with the aesthetics on a salon as I am with what Anthony and Anne have done to La Novita. As far as people saying that these two genuine owners are stuck up- being well put together business owners does not make you stuck up, it makes you confident! HUGE difference, they are two of the nicest people I know in the business world! more

Stylists are amazing!!! 1/10/2011

Customer since 1999 (the days when it was really small and not updated and Shawna worked as a receptionist and Brenda and Sherry still cut hair). Stylists are fabulous!!! I go to Kerrie -luv her! However I have to say I agree with one of the other reviewers -the staff are very unfriendly, no eye contact. I would take it a step further and say they walk around with an air of conceit. It is annoying and hardly very Spa like. The owners are where that attitude stems from and it is unfortunate. There is no verbal thank you for your business nor do you feel the gratitude. I know that Anthony and his wife have worked hard at making this business a success -and they work at the smallest details. I admire that -I just wish they'd work on the service end. more

Treatments are amazing! 1/6/2011

I love love love this Spa... However, I have to agree with most other postings. I feel that most of the staff members are stuck up and could care less if you are there or not. It is almost like walking back into the "cool club" in high school. The owner is the same way! There are only a handful of people who smile. I have my favs but I can never remember their names. Good thing they keep a computer record. Spa treatments are amazing! I would high recommend. Just be wear to feel like you are an outcast! more

I have had many stylists over the years, and one had yet to make an impression until today. I have been at the best salons in Boston and the surrounding areas .......but Sarah at La Novita takes the first place. All I can say is WOW!!! The girl knows how to cut hair. I am super impressed to the point that I had to write a review --------- and I never - ever write reviews. She is wonderful, professional, energetic, and best of all and great-great stylist. Classy, yet not pretentious. The pedicure is probably the best I've had, they really take their time with you and its so relaxing. The facials and massages are amazing also. more

Absolutely love coming into this salon! everyone is very professional and polite! the first time i walked into the salon, i was greeted with smiles and great personalities! there prices are great for the work they do! they are all very experienced and know how to do there job with such a confident attitude! not knowing much about hair myself, i usually try to explain what i want done with my hair to the best of my ability, and every time they get it right! the pedi's, mani's and eye brow waxings are also the best of the best! i wouldnt consider trying another salon, la novita is where its at! more

Great Salon! 10/21/2010

Great Salon, beautiful expanded spa area. I got a pedicure that was amazing and manicure polish lasted for a very long time. I recently had my hair cut and colored and gave the stylist the go ahead to do what she thought would be best for my face. I came away with an amazing color combination and beautiful haircut. I get compliments all the time about my great hair. Thought I would take the time to say how great this place is and how much I love my hair. I recommend La Novita to everyone I know. Now I recommend it to anyone reading this. more
