I know good food and this is it! 7/27/2008

I have been known by my friends and family to really enjoy food and know good Italian food when I taste it! I was introduced to Le Golosita from a friend and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was great. The ambience felt like I was in Italy all over again. The Veal Parm is exquisite-pounded ever so thin and the mozzerella cheese that is melted on top is very flavorful-not bland mozzerella like most places out here. The tomato sauce is perfectly light and delicious. The pasta is cooked al dente the way it always should be! The bread basket is filled with those awesome cheese parmesan crust things...yumm....Also have had the Fettucini Alfredo...oh my god was that good. Rich, creamy & delicious. The dessert I had for my birthday wasn't that great...but I did try the gelato and it was very good. The cheese ravioli was delicious too. Overall....bring an appetite and mangia! You will be on carb overload like I pretty much am every time I go there! HA! Seriously, a great restaurant. Nice place to take a date. Pros: The food...the food...the food Cons: The desserts more

THE BEST VALUE AND ITALIAN FOOD IN HENDERSON/LAS VEGAS 5/23/2008

This restaurant, located on Eastern right near 215, is owned by the same people that run the Italian restaurants in the Venetian Hotel. Francesco, the Chef d'Cusine at Zefferino in the Venetian, has trained the executive chef here and is totally responsible for the menu. The veal, fish, meats, pasta, etc etc is, not only prepared the same way that is prepared on the Strip, it is bought from the same vendors...IT'S THE SAME FOOD!!!...The difference?.....Just look at your check at the end of your meal....it's a fraction of the cost. The quality is top-notch, preparation is straight-forward...no frills, just done well. The atmosphere is lovely...the ceiling will remind you of the Venetian....or eat outdoors in a lovely setting. Adjacent to the restaurant is the patisserie with Italian desserts as good..or better...than Mulberry Street; the gelato is made here by a gelato craftsman who was brought here from Italy just to make these amazing treats...word of pricing caution....the gelato is more expensive if eaten with your meal in the restaurant. There is also Enzo, who makes wonderful Pizza creations with a fresh, homemade sauce. If you come for Happy Hour (4-6pm 7 days a week), you can have some of his pizza for free, along with beer/wine/drink specials in the bar area. The quality of the food because of who the owners are and the expertise of the chef and the prices of these wonderful dishes puts other Italian restaurants in the area....in 3rd place....and there is no restaurant in 2nd place....Le Golosita is THAT GOOD!! Manga!! Pros: GREAT QUALITY OF FOOD, VALUE, ATMOSPHERE Cons: Sorry, but the customers dress too casual for this quality of restaurant more

Save room for the gelato 5/11/2008

This restaurant has the same ownership as Zefferino?s at the Venetian though the menu is not nearly as ambitious and the pricing more friendly though hardly inexpensive. We shared the Le Golosita salad ? watercress, radicchio, arugula, cherry tomatoes, olives and shrimp wrapped in prosciutto in vinaigrette. Ms. Westie?s entree was veal saltimbocca ? veal scaloppini topped with sage and pancetta in a white wine sauce. I chose the branzino ? 2 Mediterranean sea bass filets with white wine and capers. Each entree included roasted potatoes and crisp green beans. Prior to exiting we stopped at the adjoining bakery and taste tested several varieties of gelato. It was a tough decision since 19 flavors were available, but we settled on a small cup of pistachio. All gelato is prepared in-house and each one we sampled was at least very good. Note: the price of gelato is less in the bakery section than in the restaurant. Pros: Good food, excellent gelato Cons: Pricey more
