Service provided by phone # 718-627-9200 {pick-up&delivery) is terrible. All my laundry was ruined. When i was trying to fight i found out that L&Y LAUNDROMAT did not do my laundry. My laundry was done in unknown place and nobody is responsible. more

This service used to be great until the owner Mike stopped personally managing it. The service is now horrendous! The employees are unprofessional, take forever to respond to phone calls, lie about turnaround time, lie about pick-up time, mess up laundry, mess up laundry, etc. Many of our laundry items have come back discolored and torn. I ALWAYS DID MY OWN LAUNDRY AT HOME UNTIL MY WASHER WENT ON THE FRITZ .I FOUND THIS COMPANY ON LINE I THOUGHT I WOULD USE THEM ONLY ONCE THEN TWICE . I HAVE REPAIRED MY WASHER AND STILL USE THEM BECASUE OF SUCH GREAT SERVICE IN ALL ASPECTS. CUSTOMER SERVICE, PICK UP & DELIVERY ,FOLDING OF CLOTHES SOCK'S AND UNDERGARMENT'S ARE RETURNED IN SEPERATE BAGS. I SEND THE CLOTHES ALL MIXED UP AND THE COME BACK SORTED AS IF THEY KNEW MY FAMILY OF 4 MY KIDS CLOTHES ARE SET ASIDE BOYS & GIRLS AND SO ARE MY HUSBANDS & MINE. I TELL YOU THEY ARE THE BEST OH AND FROM WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED I LIVE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF BROOKLYN IN EAST WILLIAMSBURG AND THEY NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH PICKING UP MY LOADS AT ANY TIME.... L & Y Laundromat is the best laundry service I have ever used. The drivers are very polite, courteous, and very good looking. I wish this one driver Mike would be interested in other favors besides laundry. Beside the point, they have excellent service and quality service in terms of laundry. I was looking for a good neighborhood laundry service. I used to use ""Bubbleworks"" years ago, but the quality of service declined, and I've been doing my own laundry ever since. I came upon L & Y here on Citysearch, and the reviews are right on the mark. Mike, who is the owner, makes sure to accomodate you, for whatever time or day is convenient. You can get your clothes back the same day, or day after, if you wish, and there is no delivery fee. As well, there is no pickup fee, and they sort the lights and darks for you. Upon delivery, you'll find the laundry to be neatly folded; with delicate items placed in a separate small plastic bag so they won't wrinkle, and everything is fresh and clean, with a wonderful fragrance and softness. This is just terrific! At 80 cents a pound, it's an excellent value. They will also send out your dry cleaning to their contractor, if you desire, as they only do laundry on the premises. This is a Godsend for busy working people who have enough to do when they get home, and on precious time during the weekends. While L & Y is not right around the corner from where I live, they aren't too far either, and will make it their business to get to you on time. Courtesy, professionalism, attention to service and care, and economical - what more could you ask for? I'm using them for the second time this evening, and I plan to use them from now on. On average, I work 75 hours a week and barely have time to sleep, neitherless to do laundry. I used to use a drop-off service and was happy because it took the pressure off me to get my laundry done. Then I discovered L&Y and I've been in heaven ever since. Pick-up is definitely the way to go. L&Y picks up my loads, sorts at no additional cost and makes my life easy. I also use their dry-cleaning service and I'm happy - it comes back within 72 hours and has come back as quickly as 48 hours. The price for both services is so reasonable. L & Y Laundromat has excellent customer service and an outstanding reputation for great laundry. My laundry always comes out smelling fantastic and I'm usually a very difficult person to satisfy. L & Y would go anywhere in Brooklyn to pick up your laundry, no matter how far the distance. They traveled all the way to Boro Park just to pick up my laundry for free. I would highly recommend them to anyone who doesn't feel like doing their laundry. L & Y always goes out of there way to accommodate me and I'm sure that they will do the same for you. The service is awesome! The clothes look like they came from a store. I scheduled a pickup in the morning and got my clothes back the same day. They do not charge anything extra for separation of clothes or pickup/delivery. My wife cannot believe how good the clothes smell. I would definately recommend them. more
