TOTAL SCAM ARTIST: Diane M. Kalaf, Marc S. Kalaf CON-ARTIST, LIARS, CHEATS, THIEFS \r \r I went to Kwik Kar In Carrollton To get my oil changed and while I was getting my Oil changed I asked Diane Kalaf how much it would be for them to change my front and rear breaks if I brought in my own set of new breaks... She verified the type of Car and quoted me 131.00 since I would be providing my own parts and it would be just labor only. I said I would do that later on down the week. I came back on 01/16/2013 and asked Diane If we could go ahead with the repair. She confirmed the type of Car and asked if I would be supplying rotors. I said no and asked if they could just ""turn"" the rotors...she did some quick math on her calculator and said ok the total would be 155.00 to turn the rotors and they were booked for the day so I made an appointment for 01/17/2013. \r \r I dropped the car of at 10:30 AM on 01/17/2013... after a few hours I received a call from Diane stating that the rotors could not be turned and they had to be replaced. She quoted 240.00 for her to supply the rotors. I said no thank you and I will bring some new rotors to you. So I went and bought new rotors for 100.00 at autozone and quickly took them to KWIK KAR for repair.\r \r I came back a few hours later to pick up my car and all of the sudden my BILL was 261.00!!!! And both owners (Diane and Marc) were gone...the girl that works the counter acted like she had a problem when I asked her to call and Confirm with Diane. She called Diane who stated she would be right back... I waited for them to return \r \r When she returned SHE BLATANTLY LIED AND SAID NO, YOU ARE WRONG I NEVER QUOTED YOU THAT...I QUOTED YOU 135.00 FOR THE FRONT AND 135 FOR THE REAR. I laughed and said absolutely not...we were very clear that I needed front and rear changed.. She became agitated and said well you just have to pay it there is no way i am lowering our labor that much... She became very rude and said well you just cant have your car back then. I said I was calling the cops...which I did\r \r In the mean time Marc came in and would not talk until I asked if he would like to get involved to help resolve this...he became belligerent and started calling me a mother fu^^er and told me he was going to place a lien on my car and that I would pay no matter what.. He threatened me several times saying he was going to throw my @ss out ...i told him go ahead and try and I wasnt leaving until the police came.... \r \r The police finally show up and say that they are sorry that it is a CIVIL matter and there is nothing they can do if they have my car then I would have to pay and then take them to court ...he said he was sorry and that he responds to 2 or 3 complaints a month for the same thing at this location where people are quoted one thing and then billed for another...\r \r they are total LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS...\r \r SO I ENDED UP PAYING 261.00 FOR THESE CON ARTIST TO INSTALL MY BREAKS FOR ME..I SUPPLIED ALL THE PARTS AND GOT RIPPED OFF JUST FOR THEM TO INSTALL THE BREAKS AND ROTORS .... ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF JOB MAX \r \r STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY \r \r THEY ARE LIARS AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY \r \r more

I am not one to complain but I had to tell of my experience at this KWIK KAR OFF TRINITY MILLS. I took my car in to have the tune -up and oil change plus find out why it was running so loud, which I assumed it was the oil since the oil light was coming on. I just bought this car from a friend in December and it is 10 years old with over 100,000 miles on it but it's a good car, no problems, it just needed an oil change. Anyway, when I walked in the younger man at the counter was very rude, didn't even say welcome or hello or how do you do, he didn't even look at me when he talked, he looked past me and said something like, ""how long has your car been running so loud?"" I was a little put off but answered him and then proceeded to say that I needed it to be checked and also want the tune up and oil change. Well he just seemed very agitated with me right off the bat. Was saying things like, ""well, I don't know what we can do. I'll have to see."" Then once they got the car back in the garage, an older man came in, the younger man followed him and this is where I really got angry. The older man asked me a few questions and was very irritated then started talking to the younger man right in front of me, talking about what to do with my car and that they couldn't believe I am just now bringing it into the shop and then using all these mechanic technical words that I was not familiar with and the whole time I'm sitting there staring at them as they completely talk over me to eachother and never acknowledge that I'm there. Then they walk out and I started saying something to the effect of how rude that was and I've never been treated like this before. The girl behind the counter was kind of listening and asked what was the problem. I told her what all they said to me, and how rude they were to me and then an older lady behind the counter came out and started to try and defend his attitude, saying ""well I think that's just his way of telling you to not wait so long to bring your car in"". Um I think he needs to find a different way to express himself then! I had every intention of bringing it in as soon as I had the money. I am a divorced single mom of a 7 year old who has autism. Not much money lying around but I got my refund so I brought it right up there to be checked out and it just so happened that the engine had been running loud for a few weeks prior but at that time I didn't have the money. I understand if they are concerned about any damage that might have been done to the engine but instead of showing true concern they practically accused me of ruining my car, before they even took a look at it! The people who work here are very rude & never aplogized for their behavior. I have never had an experience like this anywhere that I can think of. They ended up doing the oil change and tune up and even vacuumed. When they were done, I paid for it and left, and the two men were nowhere to be seen. It was an uncomfortable situation and I just wanted to leave! I'm not complaining of the price, it was reasonable or the job they did on my car cuz it's running great now, but I am very upset at how I was treated and talked down to like I'm just a woman who doesn't know anything or doesn't care about my car. And to add to that point, while I was still there, another customer, a man came in, and the same younger man that was so rude to me when I first got there was behind the counter and treated this customer very differently. He was very courteous and friendly and looked him in the eye and said, ""hi how are you what can we do for you?"" Why didn't he give me that same respect? I'm coming to your establishment paying for your services and you treat me like dirt and right in front of my son. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR THERE AGAIN! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THEM. FIND ANYONE ELSE. more

People, stay away from this place! I am new to the area so I called around to get some prices to get my oil changed. Kwik Kar was not the least but the shop looked good. Over the phone and at the door I was quoted 32.95 plus tax. As the car was being worked on I was told that my brake fluid was low, and that I needed a tire rotation. My tires are from Discount with free rotations, so I passed. Then the owner's wife told me that they could not check/fill the brake fluid unless I paid for a rotation. That's not all, they charged me $39.95, the girl at the counter told me it was because my Mazda 6 takes over five quarts of oil. Humm, it takes four quarts. Then the owner son informed me that the reason for up charge is that I have a canister filter. Which I already knew and because I have been gouged by people like this before, I called first. I guess I am lucky to get out just paying $5 more. I would stay away and find some place else. I should have read the reviews on google before getting ripped off. more

Our car hasn't seen any detailing in the past 3-4 years, and now that we're trying to sell it (which is in very good condition except for the dirt) I checked Citysearch, and found out Kwik Kar with good reviews... I dropped the car in the morning, got a warm and friendly welcome, and later got a ""brand new"" shining car. Thanks guys ... Great job! more
