Very Rude Staff 2/29/2012

The staff here was very rude. They don't give you much money back for your dresses and that's if they don't call them outdated and ugly first. It's Funny, because I bought both of those dresses form that store less than a year ago. They need a new, more polite staff. more

Poor Inventory management 2/21/2012

Still waiting to hear from Kristy herself, but I was just informed by the store manager that they can't find the dresses I left them and I don't get a check either. I assume that means they sold my dresses and kept the money. The current manager let me know last week when I went in to inquire about my dresses that the entire staff was recently fired due to poor record keeping. There were no notes in my file, despite numerous updates and extensions to my contract. I was told they would call me or just send me checks so I didn't have to drive all the way from Avon to Greenfield - they offered I didn't ask. I never received a call. I never received a check. They can't give me my dresses. I have no dresses and no checks. They can't find my dresses; therefore, I have to assume they sold them and kept 100% of the profits. Based on the reviews I am reading here, it appears if you buy the dresses there, you are delighted. However, if you give them your dress to sell, they find a way to lose your file, not keep good records and figure out a way not to pay you. Not a bad business model if you can get away with it ----get your inventory for free, therefore you get 100% of the profits from everything you sell. I will update this review once I hear from Kristy herself. The store manager told me she would give Kristy a message to call me today. This is from the same store manager who after I went in last Monday personally to get my dresses or checks, told me they would look for the dresses and she would call me no later than Friday. She didn't call me at all. I had to call her again the following Tuesday. more

Good Deals, Good Dresses 2/7/2012

I've been to Krisy's Trends twice and each time left with a great dress. The first time I buoght a bridesmaid dress and my friend purchased her wedding dress. This weekend I purchased not only a wedding dress but all the accessories to match (veil, headpiece, earrings). I highly recommend this store, but you must have apropriate expectations. If you want a deal-- this place is for you. If you're comfortable wearing used clothing or styles from a few years back-- this place is for you. If you're able to search the store for your own dresses and accessories- this place is for you. If you want designer current styles, need to be pampered and catered to, and need a top of the line experience-- be realistic that you'll need to pay more and shop elsewhere. more

FOR BRENDA KYLE or any other consignor to KT 2/6/2012

Hello Brenda, I am writing this morning just to educate you and maybe even caution you when working with Kristy Davidson and the store Kristy's Trends. I am not underestimating your business sense, but I urge you take very close inventory of your gowns while they are in the care of the store Kristy's Trends. While I was in the store making a payment on my wedding gown, which was in layaway, Kristy herself received a phone call from a woman wanting to know the status of the sale of her gown. Even though it was in the system, Kristy nor any of the sales team could locate this dress, and there was no sales receipt for it either. When Kristy got back on the phone with her she told the woman she did not have the dress and of course the lady was upset. I knew this because of Kristy's reaction in telling the consignor she(Kristy) did not know what she(consignor) was talking about and that she must be mistaken because the dress was not in her shop. I just feel that a good business woman would not give such a nasty attitude to someone who brings her merchandise and helps to make her bread and butter, but would rather try to resolve the issue in a manner that could work for everyone. Should a dress get lost? No, that is your business, but things happen and you should be able to defuse a potentially heartbreaking or business costing situation in a professional manner. I also read that you have all of your dresses in plastic bags, which I think is essential :). However none of her dresses that are out are kept in bags. They are all loose on the racks, which is not such a problem, but if someone purchases a dress and puts it in layaway the dress is SHOVED in this overstocked storage closet of a stockroom, and not protected at all. When I say shoved I mean the dress has to be shimmied in between other dresses, like on the goodwill commercial. When I picked up my dress there were redish colored stains that about made me faint when I saw them, as any bride would do. These spots were obviously not there when I purchased it, and the kicker was she looked me right in the eyes and promised me that she had already cleaned it, because that is ""policy"" before it leaves the store. The dress was not cleaned or steamed and brought out bagless for me to take home!!! I asked for my dress to be cleaned and this infuriated Kristy for some reason. There were obvious spots so I do not understand why a consignee would ever want a dress to walk out of their store in that condition, especially a wedding dress that is going to be put under a microscope. I am planning on writing a full review later that you can read, but I wanted to make some areas of business etiquette known to you and about the situation with that poor woman's dress she lost. I would think that someone knows what store they are consigning something special to them to. more

Great Deals 2/9/2011

I have put several dresses from my closed shop in Kristi's for consignment. They all would retail at over $800 and they can be purchsed at Kristi's for much less. They are all brand new and very tasteful. I know that she has dresses from another shop that closed in Avon also. It is a great opportunity to buy. more

Not only terrible service, but disrespectful and rude! 10/28/2010

Ok, so I go to Kristy?s Trends with a specific dress in mind. I told the customer service rep what I wanted. She ushered me away from the rack I wanted to look at, and went to ?find me a dress.? She brought the exact opposite of what I wanted in color, length, and fabric. I was like?. ?Did you even listen to me, or are you pushing crap you just can?t sell?? She was VERY, VERY pushy, and I really just wanted to browse and be left alone. more

Best Bridal Store Around! 9/7/2010

I truly had a very wonderful experience when purchasing my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses at Kristy's Trends in Greenfield. I went in the store on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago with my bridesmaids and we were greeted and helped by a very fun and friendly employee who really helped us pick things out. She helped match colors and advised on styles that really were beautiful on my bridesmaids. It wasn't snooty, but still was very nice. Everyone was so helpful and excited when we I had on my gown! I will go back for my flower girl's dress and for my bridesmaids jewelry. I saved over $50 per dress on my bridesmaids dress and my wedding gown was brand new and never worn and I saved over $150 on it. They also have layaway! If you want to save money on your wedding and still have gorgeous dresses, please stop by Kristy's Trends! more

Wedding Dress Purchase 8/2/2010

I purchased a dress which I thought the price was steep for a consignment shop, but thought it would cost alot more to purchase new. I found out on line that the dress would of been atleast $100.00 cheaper if I bought it new. more

STAY AWAY! 5/16/2009

My wife took her wedding dress to this shop after we decided it isn't worth letting it hang in a closet or sit in a box for 60 years. She also had several prom/bridesmaid dresses to sell. She was nervous about leaving it because she wasn't sure how they would track that the items she took in were hers. She also wanted to make sure that the dress would at least be sold for $600 seeing as the original price was $1,300 and after alterations it ended up being close to a $2,000 purchase. She called to make sure she would go when the owner was there so that she would know how much it would be sold for and if it couldn't be sold for at least $600 she was going to bring it back home. Kristy assured her that this dress could be sold for $599 at minimum and that the tracked everything. She had her pay about $30 to have the dress cleaned and said to come back when her consignment date is up and either pick up her money or the dress. Well, her consignment date was up yesterday and she called a week ago to let them know she was going to come and get the check/dresses. My wife drove to Greenfield today to pick up her check for one of the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding dress. Low and behold, the wedding dress was missing. One of the employees remembered the dress when she showed pictures of the dress to her and she proceeded to call Kristy. Kristy offered no help and immediately got snippy with my wife. She stated she didn't know how it was her problem they couldn't find the dress. She also lied to my wife saying that the employees couldn't write checks when one of the employees had just written a check to my wife for the other items that have sold. She wanted us to wait around the shop until 2:00 when she was coming in. She ALSO stated that she never sells a dress in her shop for over $449; however, when we were in the shop we saw dresses priced at $500. ANOTHER LIE! Needless to say this problem is still not solved and it is absolutely heartbreaking to know that such an important dress has just come up missing and we are, as of this moment, not even being compensated for the loss. Pros: One of her employee's is very nice and honest. Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE! more

Saved $100 on brand new wedding dress 1/8/2009

This week I went to Kristy's Trend out of a fluke. I saw this advertisment on Craigslist and thought lets take a shot in the dark and see if they have any wedding dresses right now. Not only did they have wedding dresses but they had alot of wedding dresses. At least over 80 wedding dresses and hundreds of bridesmaids gowns. Also there are flowergirls dresses, lots of everyday cute purses, jewerly, wedding veils, and clothes for all sizes. They didnt really have a dressing room so I tried on the wedding dress in a back stock area. It was okay though. Very nice staff and found out alterations can be done there also. Definately will go back to look for flowergirl dresses. more
