Review content:
My wife took her wedding dress to this shop after we decided it isn't worth letting it hang in a closet or sit in a box for 60 years. She also had several prom/bridesmaid dresses to sell. She was nervous about leaving it because she wasn't sure how they would track that the items she took in were hers. She also wanted to make sure that the dress would at least be sold for $600 seeing as the original price was $1,300 and after alterations it ended up being close to a $2,000 purchase. She called to make sure she would go when the owner was there so that she would know how much it would be sold for and if it couldn't be sold for at least $600 she was going to bring it back home. Kristy assured her that this dress could be sold for $599 at minimum and that the tracked everything. She had her pay about $30 to have the dress cleaned and said to come back when her consignment date is up and either pick up her money or the dress. Well, her consignment date was up yesterday and she called a week ago to let them know she was going to come and get the check/dresses. My wife drove to Greenfield today to pick up her check for one of the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding dress. Low and behold, the wedding dress was missing. One of the employees remembered the dress when she showed pictures of the dress to her and she proceeded to call Kristy. Kristy offered no help and immediately got snippy with my wife. She stated she didn't know how it was her problem they couldn't find the dress. She also lied to my wife saying that the employees couldn't write checks when one of the employees had just written a check to my wife for the other items that have sold. She wanted us to wait around the shop until 2:00 when she was coming in. She ALSO stated that she never sells a dress in her shop for over $449; however, when we were in the shop we saw dresses priced at $500. ANOTHER LIE! Needless to say this problem is still not solved and it is absolutely heartbreaking to know that such an important dress has just come up missing and we are, as of this moment, not even being compensated for the loss. Pros: One of her employee's is very nice and honest. Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE!
