Broken Cake Topper 8/1/2012

Be careful with what cake toppers you bring here. My son and daughter in law had a cake topper sculptured of the 2 of them. When it arrived at the reception the arm had been broken and glued. When Konditer Meister was called they repeated denied that it had been broken. After pictures and many phone calls later they finally said that it had been broken. A refund of only $ 75 was given for a handmade irreplaceable cake topper that is a disgrace is that what their heirlooms are worth to them !!! more

Great cake, great service 9/3/2010

Not only have we ordered occasion cakes from Konditor Meister for several years, but we also ordered our wedding cake(s) from them. Every experience I have had with them has been fabulous. No mistakes on any order, and the cakes were heavenly. Always a hit at parties when you bring one, too! For my latest order, I gave the designer some ideas over the phone for a 70th birthday cake for my mom, and they did a fabulous job! The cake (strawberry grand marnier) looks even better than I imagined, and was the star of the event.\r \r I hope folks who have had bad experiences give Konditor their feedback and try to get resolution. I have never had any problems. more

Pretty, but AWFUL tasting!! 6/10/2010

I always go to Icing on the Cake for every holiday and occassion, but needed a cake last minute so I went to Konditor Meister. The cake was beautiful, but we cut into it and it was another story. I have never had bad cake...I didn't think it existed, but nobody liked it. It was a huge waste of $$. The cake barely had any flavor and the flavor it did have weas not pleasing. I do not make boxed cakes, but I would have preferred a boxed cake over the taste of Konditor Meister. Over rated!!! more

when i went for a tasting it was very dissapointed the cakes were drop dead beautiful but had no flavor .maybe they make more improvvment with flavor .... stop and shop cakes have better flavor then konditor meister...... more

Another BAD review. They said NO, YES, and NO about eliminating almond extract. Are we the only ones in the world with NUT ALLERGIES? Thank you for suggesting our LOCAL BAKERIES. for honesty, quality, and much better prices.\r Use them for comparison, but boycott them. more

Not the best place for your wedding cake 3/2/2010

Poor cake decoration technique, just order what they have on their website, don?t try to be creative. \r \r I order my wedding cake there because they claim that they can do exactly the same cake which is shown on a wedding magazine. But then: 1) theme of the cake is should be light pink, they gave me light purple. 2) they double size of the decorated flower and their technique is totally different from the magazine. So I go back to the shop and ask for the decoration fee refunded. \r My advice is just order what they have from their pic sample and make sure all the color and details were listed correctly. more

Konditor Meister is Very Good! 8/4/2009

I recentely ordered a Christening cake from them, and it was excellent. Got LOTS of compliments from guests on how great it tasted. Pickup was easy, and staff was friendly. I guess I don't understand a lot of the horror stories from here and people complaining about how their problems were unresolved? If this is the case why wouldn't you persue this further, not just let it go and complain on here? Don't stop complaining until you get your compensation! Climb up the totem pole, take it to the next level, etc. more

WORST, WORST, WORST! 6/22/2009

I ordered my god daughter?s sweet fifteen cake from Konditor Meister and spent a lot of time with a consultant who assured me that it would be exactly what we wanted. We even left a sample color ribbon just be on the safe side. However, what a disappointment on her birthday!!! I don?t even know where to begin. First, the cake was supposed to have a red sash and it was burgundy. Secondly, the details on the cake was not even close to what I specifically requested which was written down on the sheet they made a copy of. Third, the cake toper was missing! (HUGE Mistake!) Whoever delivered the cake forgot to bring it with them. When I panicky called? they stated they could not find it and when asked to speak with a manager I was told they had left for the day. GO figure! Finally, when I called the next day they provided no explanation or apology and I ended up wasting my time for several days. It was such a disappointment and an embarrassment to my family because we had over 300 more

Worst customer service, a lousy place to shop 1/7/2009

I ordered a birthday cake for my mother on Christmas Eve. I sent my husband to pick it up, they overcharged him, and instead of putting "Happy 58th birthday", they put "Happy 50th birthday". When he brought the cake home, it was completely different than what I had ordered, wrong flavor, wrong design. I called the store back to complaint, they said they couldn't find my receipt ( just within 1 hr of picking up??), asked me to called back next week to speak to their manager, Dave, I called back several times, each time they gave different excuses, a lady named Karen, called herself also a manager, didn't know how to handle a refund, have to wait for an accountant, I finally got a hold of Dave, promised to refund me, 2 weeks have passed, still haven't seen my refund. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They screw up everything from A through Z, and it seems like they don't want to refund anything. I will never shop here again, they can keep my change as a Ch more

Konditor Meister Wedding Cake 8/28/2008

I had a Konditor Meister Wedding Cake for my wedding 5 years ago. It looked gorgeous. While I was with my family having wedding photos my guests were taking pictures of the wedding cake. It helped people to start conversations. \r I'm glad that my wedding consultant recommended that I place it where people can easily see it. Also, since we were on a budget I had the cake as my dessert. There was plenty for everyone and some people had two slices. I also had white buttercream cascade that helped with my budget and still it looked very classy. \r Now I'm ordering my son's 3 year old birthday cake. I always order the strawberry gran marnier, but I'm told the chocolate chocolate mousse is really yummy! more

Their cakes are gooood. I have brought their boston cake and some more cakes for b'days and mothers day and also shower cakes. They r so soft and spongy and rich with decorations. I love their cakes. If u have sweet tooth for creamy cakes plz go in here. Its bit pricy but good. Try their pastries too. Mmmmmmm yum. more

Don't rely on them for your wedding!! 6/29/2008

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Konditor Meister and spent a lot of time with a consultant who seemed to take good notes of what we wanted. What a disappointment on our wedding day, however!!! The cake's fondant had cracked in several places, the colors and design were COMPLETELY wrong!! it was as if they gave us someone else's cake. While the cake tasted good, we were so disappointed. They provided no explanation or apology. It was disappointing because our extended family has always relied on Konditor Meister for birthdays. Seems they can handle small events such as this, but if it is a very important occasion don't trust them. more

I ordered a cake for my daughters sixteen birthday, it was the worst tasting cake I had ever tasted, the caked was decorated very pretty but tasted nothing like it looked. The cake was so bad I had to buy her another cake from some where else, I think their cakes are very over rated. more

Still the Best!!! 2/2/2008

Despite the recently negative reviews, I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday, as we have every year. Not only was it moist, the chocolate covered strawberries are to die for. I highly recommend the Strawberry Gran Marnier cake. It is also just as tasty a couple days later. I also would like to mention that I drove 45 minutes to pick it up. We live on the RI border. Worth the trip! Cons: only one location more

Overall, I've had their cakes and I think people over exxagerate. The cakes are "ok" if you like dry or grainy cake. I've had better cake from Stop & Shop. Whatever you do, don't believe the hype about their cake. FYI...The prices are not worth it either.\r Definately nothing to brag about. more

If there were less than 1 star...I'd give NO STARS! 8/27/2007

I will be uploading a picture to show everyone the cake that Konditor Meister made for our wedding. Notice the lean on the top tier, and the incorrect colors of the flowers on the top of the cake.\r After many jokes were made at our wedding (including our DJ announcing it to everyone!!), over $200 paid to our photographer to photoshop our pictures, and many conversations with management and ownership, they decided to refund 20% of the cake cost. Unfortunately they'd originally promised full refund, failed to remit any refund until we called over 7 times, then had the nerve to try and say it was someone elses fault!!! We paid extra for the owner to make the cake, looks like the owner should just keep out of the kitchen. Advice...STAY AWAY from this lying, overrated, and inconsiderate business!!! Trust us, you don't want to rely on them for your wedding. more
