I've stayed at many hotels in Vegas. The thing about this one is that the rooms aren't that great and it's hard to get to them - you've got to walk through a very crowded entry an...

stayed for our wedding 6/15/2008

my husand and i stayed here may 2004. we were in vegas for our wedding. first off, when we arrived at check without us knowing they had upgraded us to a tower suite. we were so surprised. even though we wasnt even getting married at the hotel. we had choosen a little chapel on the strip. but you see they found out when i called them to make a dinner reservation the night of our wedding. which the resturant the i picked online was booked, so they booked us at the prime resturant (at one of there sister hotels). it was the best meal ever. we were there with 2 other couples and we spend a day at the pool, where we had a great time. and one of my friends book me a massage the morning of my wedding day and it was to die for. the only negative thing i could say about our stay. i would recommend new and softer beds. Pros: everything Cons: could get new and softer beds more

Over-rated! 5/3/2008

I didn't go inside because the doorman tried to charge me $20 to get inside - AND I am local, AND I was staying at the Mirage IN the Penthouse AND I am a female. Still, tried to charge me a cover to get into what seemed to be kind of a lame spot from the outside looking in. I don't know what this lounge is doing on a ""best no cover night spot"" list. more

Go for brunch 4/25/2008

Best buffet in Vegas! All you can eat and all you can drink mimosas. Something on the buffet for EVERYONE, and a great value for the money. I always make a stop here when I'm in Vegas, and you should too. Pros: value, variety more

save your money 4/1/2008

this place has really changed since the last time i went back when it was first open. the food was average (same selections as most other buffets, quality was also average to other buffets). the atmosphere was open and airy- plenty of elbow room. the peeled shrimp cocktail was large, but flavorless. the sushi bar was very disappointing- only three kinds of sushi were offered. the dessert was underwhelming. Pros: open and airy environment Cons: flavorless food, slim pickings in terms of selection, premium for group eating (18%!!!) more

Loved Loved Loved the Alaskan King Crab Legs! 3/10/2008

Came upon this rest. by accident, but have no regrets! I was in Vegas for my birthday and my husband decided to take me to dinner here. We got our reservations and wound up still waiting for 20 mins, which was definately worth it. I ordered Alaskan King Crab legs and my husband ordered a prime rib and we shared an appetizer of coconut shrimp. Let me tell you, everything from start to finish was amazing! So DELICIOUS!!! My crab legs came with a lemony buttery sauce which was so rich and flavorful, (not like the oily Red Lobster stuff) The crab legs were perfectly done and tender, juicy and succulent! My husbands rib eye was just as amazing, cooked the way he ordered it, juicy, flavorful and tender. I highly recommend Kokomo's! The service was great and the ambiance was very romantic. The perfect place for a delicious birthday dinner! Pros: Awesome crab legs!! Overall a wonderful dining exp. Great service! Pricey, but you get your money's worth! Cons: Extremely busy on the weekends, so def have to make reservations, but worth the wait! more

Fun place to dine with friends 11/8/2007

Great, very fresh food expertly prepared. Ate there in October '07 and can't wait to go back! Don't be fooled by the fact that it's in the Mirage -- this is one of Vegas' best dining experiences. Pros: Undiscovered treasure of Vegas more

Best King Crab I have ever had! 9/4/2007

If you love King Crab as much as I do, Kokomos is the place for you. Served along side an awesome lemon butter sauce, it melts in your mouth. The crab legs are already split open for you so no mess or fuss! I can never finish mine as they are that huge so I end up giving the rest to my husband. Pros: King Crab Legs are awesome--Great service! more

Very classy place to chill 8/27/2007

After seeing the endless line at the Jet, we decided to go to the Evolution instead. It is very easy to find, as a huge neon sign with pink alphabets saying E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N in the middle of Mirage. The doorman was really friendly. Go-go dancers will greet you while dancing within the 'O's part of the neon sign. You will find lots of seating where people can actually socialize (unlike other clubs where you will have to pay $200 for a bottle to sit down). Bartenders were nice and the music was really good. People were civilized, well dressed, young yet mature. Best of all, there was NO-line up. Oh, did i mention the gigantic sink where men and ladies will share in the restroom. Very nice if you want to meet real people and chill. Pros: No Line-up, lots of seating with socialization opportunities, classy people Cons: can't think of one more

Sophisticated chinese food with amazing atmosphere and stellar service 8/11/2007

The service was friendly, informative and considerate, the decor is elegant and intimate, i couldn't get over how calm and peaceful it was to have dinner in a casino restaurant. Now to the food, had the shark fin soup which is their specialty and the Live Santa Barbara sweet shrimp sashimi and steamed, was amazing, everything we ordered was so good that we kept ordering more. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are with a bunch of foodies who especially like all types of asian food, you will not be disappointed. From atmosphere, to promptness in seating, to service and food, Fin brings them all together to make your dining experience perfect in all categories. Pros: atmosphere, food, service, promptness in seating Cons: wine list more
