Best Theme Park in Socal 7/13/2011

The park is still the best park in Socal. We went on this occasion because my friend found a great deal on discounts4fun.com. We got 30% off adult tickets..so that's pretty sweet deal. This park has alot of California history and it still has some of the best rides anywhere. more

Fun but lacks family rides 3/1/2009

I have been going to Knott's since the early 70's. It used to be a great family park but it is no longer.Camp Snoopy is great for the little ones and the coasters are great for the preteens and teens. Unlike other parks they have very few rides the whole family can enjoy together. When we go on a family trip we want to stay together as a family so we will be skipping Knott's from now on,except for coming to Mrs. Knotts for dinner. I sure glad you don't need a ticket to eat there. more

Knott's Berry Farm 12/10/2006

My family and I recently went to Knott's Berry Farm. I hadn't been there since I was about 5 years old, so I really didn't have much memory to draw upon. We had a lovely time. We went during the week and it was not crowded at all. They had cute little rides that our kids could go on (ages 4 years and 17 months). They did also have some larger roller coasters, but I can't say much about those since our kids weren't old enough to go on them. It's definitely not as impressive as Disneyland, but it was a really cute little place and the kids had a fun time. Our whole family of 4 went to Knott's for less than the price of 1 ticket to Disneyland after my husband's discount through his employer. There were a lot of restrictions on the rides. I am pregnant and nearly every ride said that pregnant women could not ride. It was a little overboard as some of the rides were less tumultuous than riding in a car. I understand, however, that they want to be safe. We sat down to eat at Johnny Rocket's, but the prices for adults were ridiculous. The kids food was reasonable (about $4), but the adults were about $8 for a hamburger and then if you wanted fries and a drink you had to add an additional $7. We ended up eating at the Ghost Town Grill and it was much more reasonable. The kid's meals were $6 a piece and included chicken strips, grilled cheese, or several other choices with french fries, a refillable souvenier Snoopy cup, and an ice cream bar. The adults burgers and sandwiches (which included fries) were around $6 or $7. more

It's a welcome change from the hazards of Disneyland. 4/16/2006

The "hazards" referring to the long lines, expensive tickets and food, and things of that nature. While Knott's doesn't quite have the same children's-appeal Disneyland has, it definitely has its own brand of entertainment to offer instead. Knotts has plenty of enjoyable rides, roller-coaster and non-roller-coaster and offers much more culture than Disneyland most likely ever will. I prefer Knott's because of these reasons, but mainly because I feel fine just strolling around the park, not something that is quite as easy to do at Disneyland. On its own, Knott's has plenty to offer, and it offers what it has amazingly well, attracting patrons of all ages. It has the feel of an amusement park, rather than an escape. more

fun 4/10/2006

When I was a nanny in southern Californina, my best friend and I went to Knott's SCARY Farm during the month of October. Talk about loads of fun. We had so much fun, it was dark and ghosts and ghools were hiding everwhere! We got so scared, but still had so much fun! The rides were fun too. We spent all day there until closing! It is a rather small amusement park but it's still packed full of fun! more

Fun place for kids and adults 2/28/2006

Knotts Berry Farm is so much fun! Camp Snoopy is for the kids and can keep them entertained for hours. They have a miniature dragon swing, a bouncy house, a petting zoo and so much more! As for adults, they have all kinds of crazy rides...too much for me. Rides that will take you upside down, spin you around and around...Not for me. This place doesn't get too busy anymore so lines aren't usually too long. Go and have fun! more

Where I Grew Up 2/27/2006

I did a lot of growing up in this amusement park, as an annual passholder I spent most of my teen years there. The rides have become more exciting in an attempt to compete with neighboring Disneyland, but I think the real strengths lie in what Knott's does very well--the Old West theme. I love the coal mine ride, and the log ride, and I hope they never change them. more

Affordable Theme Park 2/25/2006

I honestly believe this theme park is a lot better than Disneyland. There's more exciting rides for older people, theres a section of the park dedicated for young children, and theres a lot of food/games/shows that will fit everyone!!! What's best is that the admission to the park is affordable!!! Well, at least not cheap, but not too expensive like Disneyland!!! They even offer discounts to Southern California residents!!! Some of the best rides they offer are GhostRider, Perilous Plunge. This place is perfect for families, teens, children, or basically anyone wanting to have a good time. If you go, don't forget to say hello for to me to Snoopy!!! more

Knott's Berry Farm 12/19/2005

In a city with several good theme parks locals and visitors shouldn't forget about Knott's Berry Farm. While there aren't as many rides as some of it's competitors they have some good ones plus the lines are a lot shorter (think smaller crowds). You can always find discount coupons to reduce the admission price. They are known for their Halloween Haunt in October. Also in December they often offer a special where if you bring an unwrapped toy worth a certain amount admission is free (weekends only). more

Exciting amusement park 10/6/2005

WOW the Knotts is really great. So many days I passed the farm simply looking at the massive roller coaster thinking how it would be to ride on it.Finally we planned to go there on one weekend and guess what .It was a great experience and lots of fun.Snoopy is ideal fun for the kids.My kids thoroughly enjoyed snoopy as they couldn't come to most of the rides.Food is great too.All the rides were good and it definely is a good holiday spot.Had a great time on the roller coaster and I was going on repeating the ride. But the only thing is that I find the entry ticket a little expensive. Will go back again if I find any coupons or any discount. Now that the Halloween is approaching there are night festivities going on which I guess lot of people are attending as there are so many cars parked there. more

try their chicken dinner 9/26/2005

If you are visiting Southern California and have time left after you visit Disneyland, try Knott's Berry Farm.. Their ticket prices are more reasonable than Disneyland. It's more low-key than Disneyland, but also less crowded. There is a whole Camp Snoopy area geared towards kids. Make sure to have a chicken dinner at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. more

Lame Amusement Park 9/9/2005

This is one of the worse and most lame amusement parks. For the price you spend here, save your money and go to disneyland. Your children will be much happier. There are about 4 older kid/adult type rides and the rest of the rides are for smaller children although my child didn't like any of them. The place doesn't sem very exciting and it isn't very memorable. more

Knott's 8/31/2005

Knott's Berry Farm in the city of Buena Park is a great little amusment park that has a wide variety of different attractions to see and do. During Holloween it also gets crazy during the scare fest thing that they have with all of the mazes and people poping out of no where to scare you. You can usually find some decent food in the park, but expect to pay hefty for it. more

Good but not Great 8/24/2005

Knott's has a few really great rides, and mostly "good" rides. You can usually only stay for about 6 hours or so (as opposed to Disneyland or Magic Mtn), because there are so few good rides and the theme park itself is not that large. If you're into shows, there are also a few mediocre ones as well. However, I think Knott's shines in that the few great roller coasters that they have are unique to their park. I haven't been on a ride like Silver Bullet (?) anywhere else. Also, it's great b/c there's always coupons for discounted prices floating around somewhere, making tickets about $28 or so for adults in the summer. That's a lot easier on the wallet than the other parks in SoCal. Also, the lines weren't that long on an August Saturday. They also offer half-price ticketing after 4pm. Food-wise, the Chicken Dinner Restaurant rocks. more

Best place for Halloween! 8/21/2005

Knott's Berry Farm is known for its jam, and just about as famous is its amusement park. So what's spooky about a amusement park? For Halloween only (and the preceding couple weeks), after the sun sets, they have workers dressed in ghost and ghouls walking around certain parts of the park. They also have mists going around those same parts, so it's a little bit spooky when someone comes up to you and taps you on the shoulders. Actually, it's quite amusing to watch people get spooked. Naturally, they still have the rides going at night and hey, if it's fun during the daytime, it's fun at night too. I really recommend going there for Halloween, just for the atmosphere. more

family fun 8/21/2005

This is a nice, relaxing amusement park in Southern California. It is not nearly as crowded or hectic as the other parks nearby. It is a great place for families as there are lots of things for kids that aren't too scarey. That includes lots of fun rides and craft-making things to do as well. There is a fun disco there that is always packed with tons of people in their twenties and thirties. The corkscrew is probably their most popular ride. It may not be as exciting as the other parks, but there is something to be said for less excitement. more

a pretty good park 8/20/2005

I like Knotts, not as much as Magic Mountain but it's still fun. Where Disney is a park for old 60 year old losers, and Magic Mountain is a park for crazy skydivers on crack, Knotts is somewhere in between. Best ride in the park is Ghost Rider, a LONG wooden roller coaster. This ride is like three minutes+++, you think it's going to be over around the next turn but it just keeps going forever. X-celerator is pretty good too. Overall there's enough stuff to keep me interested here for a day, but probably no more than that. more

Knott's Berry Farm 8/19/2005

Knott's Berry Farm was the first theme park. They have kept their history very well in the park and added many new rides. The roller coasters are superb, and the food is great! Knotts is known for their chicken and jam, you have to get some while your there. Admission is very fairly priced too. A must see if in the Buena Park area. more

Fun Theme Park 8/19/2005

Knott's is a very fun place to go to. They have many rides for all ages. Like other theme parks they have an area just for children. Knott's has some great rides such as Supreme Scream and Ghost Rider. They also have great food there too. They also have many shows at Knott's which are fun to watch. more
