You couldn't entrust your "fur kids" to anyone better! Excellent all the way around. \r \r They saved our first Sheltie's life three times. Another vet wanted to put him down when he was only 1-1/2 years old. Dr. Klaich operated on Benson, setting his leg. Benson then went through other medical issues. We were lucky enough to have Benson in our lives until he was 14! All of the Drs. Are excellent. \r \r Dr. Smith is currently treating our 8 (?) year old Sheltie, Buddy. Buddy is a "rescued" Sheltie, so we don't know a lot about his past, other than he was horribly abused and starved. \r \r Everyone there is loving and caring. Their facility is so clean. I couldn't say enough about Klaich Animal Hospital and recommend them to everyone! Thank you to everyone at Klaich Animal Hospital! more

3 visits and $1300.00 later. I asked to see another\r vet.My dog's ear infection.\r The front desk said ok! After an hour and half drive.\r and I satin the waiting room for 2+ hours.\r I was told their was a fight, between 2 vets.And I\r would need to see the original vet.\r I said no! The vet thru Meds Accross the Clinic.\r Hit my Dog! And was told at the desk.It was not\r their problem.!\r Went to another vet. he said.A little water and\r vinegar. And my dog has been fine since.$23.00 more

The vets here are very knowledgeable. How ever they are making you make appointments because they are getting so many people. But they are very caring they treat many types of animals and I recommend them to everyone. more

This is a great animal hospital! They have walk-in hours so you don't need an appointment at any time you just walk right in. They have long hours and a staff of very knowledgeable vets. I especially liked Dr. Sargeant. They also offer boarding although I never used that amenity. I would recommend them highly. I tried 2 other vets in the area and found them to be the best by far. more

Part of the problem here is that it very much depends on who you see, which is just random-whoever is up on that day. Some of the doctors are much better than others. But I have had two different experiences where the vet missed an important (life threatening) diagnosis after a very rushed exam. They do have convenient hours and location but if your pet is ill you are taking a risk here. more

Klaich has a number of fine qualities. They are the premier provider of TPLO knee surgery for dogs. They provide special care to animals from shelters. Their services are reasonably priced, and they don't try to cram all kinds of luxury services, luxury foods and luxury care down your throat. Klaitch was reccommended to me as a good place to take my cat. I am new to Reno and needed to have my cat looked at so I gave it a try. This place is a factory. I waited about 45 minutes, which is not a problem, but I like the idea of having an appointment with a set amount of time the Vet may spend with my animal. This factory set up leaves the Vet no time to spend with your pet. Pros: I'm sure the Vet is fantastic but has no chance to be great in this setting. New Building. I went here when it was somewhat busy. I just wanted to get a yearly exam for my dog, but had to wait for a long time alone in the room only to have the exam be completely rushed. I tried to find out about suggestions for making meals for my dog myself in terms of proportions of meat to vegetables and grains and was told to look online. The vet didn't even notice during this exam that my dog has a a joint problem. His knee pops out of joint and may need surgery later. The vet also did not notice that one of the dog's dewclaws grew into almost a full circle and needed to be cut (the dog won't let me cut them). I brought my sister's dog in at the same time and I had to point it out to the vet that the dog had a bald spot on its neck that was really concerning everyone. I have been a RVT for 20 yrs. The doctor would not perform a simple needle aspirate of a lump on my dog in my presence. He wanted me to drop her off for two hours when it only takes less than a minute to do. I am new in Reno and Klaich had been Recommended by several people. People of Reno must be ignorant to the good standards of care their pets can receive elsewhere. Would they drop their children off? I must also add the doctor did not even give my dog a proper exam. He did not examine her at all. He only looked at the lump. more
