Been trying to become a customer for the past 3 months. Picked out vanity, toilet, floors for guest bathroom renovation and have been left hanging. Waiting to order items, I was told I would be receiving a sample of the bathroom tile. After no response from salesperson after 2 months, I called the store. She emailed me telling me she'd get back to me by the end of the day with a reply from the vendor. That was a week ago. These people have terrible customer service and act as if they don't wish to do business at all. Although their selection is wonderful and we'd gladly overspend for beautiful items, we're at the point where we feel like giving up. Was about to call the store manager but even trying to reach someone is futile. Voice mail, and nobody returns calls. Ridiculous way to run a business if you go to so much trouble to offer beautiful merchandise and then allow people to totally screw up your potential for making sales. Totally frustrating experience and about to give up trying! more

Despite what i read here, i found the staff knowledgable and friendly, and they even discount for the trade. Their prices on light fixtures were even lower than the internet prices i found for the same ones - all i had to do was ask and talk to the salesperson about the prices. Looked at a few kitchen faucets too, great selection and was asked at least 2 times by people if i had questions. I will definitely go back. more

Very good selection of hardware, lighting, and fixtures, that are all well displayed. HOWEVER, the service is the pits. I have been 3 times -- all on weekday mornings when the store is not busy. Each sales person I have gotten is worse than the last. One was 2 weeks on the job and totally clueless. The second was knowledgeable but totally not helpful (I felt like I was at a Home Depot and had to find everything myself). Then when I went yesterday I had to wait for my salesperson to finish texting THREE times before I could get the pricing info from him. Meanwhile I heard the other department sales person on the phone saying to a vendor "Sorry to bother you but I have a customer bothering me!" It boils my blood to spend so much money at a store where their sales reps act like customers are a pain in the neck. What terrible service. I wish their supervisors knew! more

The store has an excellent selection, particular in its hardware department. However, the staff is terrible. Rather than trying to do whatever they can for the customer, their attitude is: "This is the way it is. If you don't like it, you can leave." Klaffs charges list price plus for everything. Good customer service should be a part of what one is over-paying for. It's a shame that one has to stay away from a company that carries items that are in such good taste. more

Lot's of choices but staff in tile and lighting leave a lot to be desired. Don't expect call backs from Donna in the tile department. I purchased many items from this store. more

My husband and I went shopping for some new kitchen cabinet hardware. They have every knob and pull known to man. The salesperson was knowledgable and very nice. These made our kitchen look brand new. Our master bath is next! more

Whether you love shopping at Klaff's or hate it you have to admit no one else in the area has as much selection in lighting, cabinet pulls etc in fairfield county. It is not cheap but the quality is very good. You will wait and wait and wait for it to be your turn (parents if you can, leave your poor kids at home) but once it is you will have the full attention of the sales person assigned to you. It helps to have some idea of what you want before you get the salesperson. They can be harried especially on a Saturday afternoon. more
