I bought my sister, my mom, and me gift certificates last year for Christmas, and we used them today to take a class on making pasta, risotto, and gnocchi from scratch. It was awesome! Art is very knowledgable and an excellent teacher. He made accommodations for people based on dietary preference (i.e. vegetarian, light on the cheese), and he had dozens of useful tips. Free wine is an added bonus, and I know that my family and I will be making these recipes (or variations thereof) for quite some time.
Pros: It's a group style, it's hands-on, and the instructor was excellent.
Cons: You may not like all the food you're eating, and you may not like the group setting. Also, for me, it's a little far.
