King Appliance Service took a few days to get the part, but that was not their fault. He came out to look at a washer and the washer didn't need fixing; it was the dryer. He explained that wear and tear of the bearings in the dryer over time are going to ruin the motor mechanism on it, so I went ahead and had that replaced. Not only did he try to pull a fast one and do work that didn't need to be done, he actually told me work that needed to be done. The ethics of the salesperson that I dealt with were very high.
I deal with a lot of companies and often when the customer says, "Replace X" and they know you don't need to, but that's what the customer thinks needs to be done, they will go ahead and replace X. But this gentleman was very ethical and said, "You don't need this, but you do need this." I hope the company is ethical, as well. The salesperson didn't want to up-sell and charge me for stuff that didn't need to be repaired. My units are extremely expensive units, as well. I don't have a little Kenmore that you go down and get for $325. They're $3,500 or more washers and dryers.
