As soon as I put the request in through Service Magic, I got a phone call from King Appliance almost immediately. They told me that they would come out right away, see what's going on, and give me a quote. They came out promptly, and at a time that was convenient for me, took a look at the problem, and they knew exactly how to fix it. They ordered the parts that they needed, but the manufacturer sent them the wrong parts, so they had to come back the day after to put it all in. They were here for about 10 minutes, then the project was done, and they did a really good job. The guy who did the work was friendly, and not at all rude. more

Refridgerator Repair 6/7/2011 6/10/2011

Pete was the service tech that responded to our broken refrigerator. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. He explained all the parts of the fridge and where they are connected and why to explain what happened to it. He was quick and fair and I would definately recommend King Appliance Company. more

I feel as if I was taken for a ride by your company. I was told that my Maytag refrigerator had a bad adaptive defrost control board and damper assembly and that the charge would be $303 plus taxes and fuel charge. After having the job done I did some research. The defrost control board only cost about $55 and the damper assembly cost $28. So parts would only be about $80 to $85. The total time of labor was LESS THAN 2 minutes, so basically about $215 for 2 minutes of labor. Not good business. A huge rip off and very questionable tactics. Would not recommend..definitely do research before agreeing to any quote given by this company. more

We have had King Appliance Service out two different times. I have a Bosch dishwasher, and we had a recalled part. When the person who was sent out did the work, the connection in the wall was not put back in exactly right. When we had King Appliance Service come out, the repairman explained that to us. Because of that issue, the pan underneath the dishwasher had a hole. He improvised a repair for that, and it made it even better than getting a new pan. He was very good, and very creative. We were really impressed, and King Appliance Service saved us from having to get a new dishwasher. That was the first time we used them. We wound up using them because the first person we used was 45 minutes late with no call; we had to cancel our dinner plans because of it. We were reffed to King Appliance, and we were very pleased when we dealt with them. They are very good on time, and the experience was super. We also have two refrigerators, one in our kitchen, and then an older one in the utility room. The one in our kitchen had a broken ice-maker, and then our older one started leaking. King Appliance came out to service both of them. We were very pleased with everything and are even having him replace all the gaskets for the older refrigerators. We have been really pleased with their knowledge and their ability in everything. more

the ac did not work now it does 4/5/2011

I have had some bad expericenes with AC techs. Not being a AC tech, I have had my new house 5 years and fired 2 companies. you can never besure what techs tell you, but Joe took his time to explain and what he was saying fit the common sense test. And he did not try to impress me with terminalogy that I could not realt to, to make him sound better. Used real relatealbe terms. 10 years will tell me if what was said is true. ;-) I feel better as well the tech that installed my unit was the same tech that worked on my other AC system last year. I have never see the same tech twice in other companies, that is a true sign of a company. more

I had a previous appliance specialist come out, and the difference between them and King Appliance Service was night and day! The other guy called me after looking, said I had a bad computer, and basically said that all he was looking for was to get paid for the service call. He had no desire to talk with me, or give me any information, or anything. Joseph from King Appliance Service was much better. He was very professional, and gave me lots of information, so I wouldn't ever go back to another appliance specialist at all. more

Providing that the washer doesn't fail tomorrow, everything was fine! King Appliance Service not only came on time, but when they gave me a window of between 1:00-5:00, they were there at 1:00. He came in, pulled the thing apart, and knew exactly what the problem was. He knew what to order, he had the estimate ready, and he was extremely efficient. I'm confident that the part of the washer machine that he worked on will not fail, and I'm sure that IF it died he would come back and take care of that issue. After talking with him in person, I felt comfortable to have him be in my home while I was out, and that says a lot about his character. more
