Best Crab Cakes! 11/30/2007

I had dinner at Kincaid's for a business meeting. We ordered a bunch of food and drinks.\r Our waitress was very helpful. We had appetizer sampler, calamari, crab cakes, and salad to start. For entree, I had the scallop. It wasn?t bad but nothing really special. Some other people had salmon and filet mignon. I probably go to a steak house for filet?. The crab and bearnaise topping was not a good match with the filet\r I will take my husband to have just the crab cakes and the salmon.\r Pros: crab cakes, salmon, location more

YUK- Boxed Potatoes, Come ON 11/6/2007

Kincaids used to be one of my favorites, but their menu is more Mac n Cheese than I want to see at a high price restaurant. Their potatoes tasted funny, and sure enough, when questioned staff spoke and they are boxed potatoes. Too highly priced to be cutting back in their quality.\r Heard Chevy's bought them....that would explain a lot.\r Don't waste your money! Pros: good location Cons: overpriced underquality food more

Don't waste your time 10/3/2007

We received a $20 gift card in the mail, so thought we would check this place out. We ordered appetizers at $26 and their early bird dinners at $20 each. The food was just so-so, and our waitress was just annoying. When it came time to pay the bill, I gave her our gift card and my credit card. She stated that the gift card was not valid for the early bird dinners, and when I flipped it over, sure enough, that's what the fine print said. But we could use the gift card in the bar, she said. So after paying for our dinner with my credit card, we stopped in the bar on the way out for an after-dinner drink. This time I was smarter and showed the bartender our gift card before ordering. Sorry, he said, you couldn't use the gift card in the bar without ordering food also. Well, we walked out without ordering a drink, and gave our gift card to some people in the bar who looked like they were going to order food from the menus. The next day $2,000 in fraudulent purchases were charged to the card I had used the night before at the restaurant. Now I don't know who or when someone stole my credit card number, but that's just too much of a coincidence for me. And even if all of their employees are honest, the food and the service don't give me any reason to go back. Pros: Nice view of the bay Cons: Just about everything else. more

Great Surf and Turf! 4/23/2007

My experience at Kincaid's was a very good one. The food was excellent (prawns and filet mignon combo) and the service was friendly and efficient. We dined here around sunset, so the view over the bay was incredible. I have to disagree with many of the other reviews about the prices, I found them to be fair for what we got. We were able to split the combo (which was a reasonable $30) between the two of us and still be very full at the end of the meal. Pros: food, view more

Great Place for Work Meeting 11/6/2006

I would highly recommend this place for work off site dinner meetings. Good Ambience, Service and Wine list. more

Mediocre 10/13/2006

The food wasn't as good as I would expect for $30 entrees. Portions were small.\r I had the seafood mixed grill and the shrimp were something that I would expect in a bag of frozen that I bought at the grocery store in North Dakota. Service was just fair, but they were really busy. I come to the area a lot on business and I probably won't eat here again.\r Pros: Location Cons: Food, Service more

Great Restaturant! 7/27/2006

I've been to Kincaid's many times with my bf and the food is wonderful. I love their crab and artichoke dip, it is to die for! Their prime rib is absolutely fabulous! I've ordered other things on the menu and all of them are ok. Nothing great about the other items but the prime rib is definitely a must. Pros: nice ambiance and the servers are nice and great view of the water Cons: Make reservations more

So much for their reputation! 4/9/2006

I waited a long time to eat at Kincaid's. People raved about it. My husband finally brought me there for our anniversary dinner. It was supposed to be special. I was so disappointed. I ordered the calamari and thought that I swallowed a salt block. I told the food server that the calamari was so salty. He didn't apologize. He looked at me and said ""Oh."" Before he took it away, he asked if I wanted anything else. He didn't offer to have it taken off our bill...we had to tell him! I mentioned this incident to a friend of mine who wished that I had talked to her before we went. She said that she was also disappointed when she went to Kincaid's and that it was way over rated. more

Don't waste your money! 4/4/2006

First of all the decor is vert dated. Feels like something out of the 1980's. The view is nice, but the food is average for what you pay. VERY overpriced. Tourist prices. The service is pushy and you can tell the waiters are pushed to sell and get you out as fast as possible. Has a very corporate feel and if you want to dine this is NOT the place. Screaming kids and pushy waiters make it impossible to have a relaxing business dinner. NEVER AGAIN. more

Fantastic! 10/13/2005

I had such a lovely time meeting friends here for dinner. The restaurant is set right on the water, which I'm sure is great during the day too. At night you can't really tell. Great ambiance and service. The food was delicious also. I would highly recommend going! Pros: Comfy booths, Great service more

Great Dining Experience 1/10/2005

I came here to celebrate my significant other's birthday and we had a wonderful dining experince. We took advantage of the Kincaid's Email Dining Club discount coupon availabe via email and got a great deal on dinner. I had the prime rib, which was really good while my boyfriend had the salmon which he said was a bit on the dry side, but still good. We had a yummy creme brulee for dessert. Our server was the best that I can remember. He was polite, anticipated our needs without our asking, fast, and very pleasant. I'd be happy to come to Kincaid's again. Pros: Service, Parking, Prime Rib more

Decent food, bad value 11/5/2004

The food here was decent, but not at all worth what we paid. If you don't care about value, then this place is fine, but there are plenty of other more affordable places where you can get excellent prime rib or seafood. The ambience is nice, but I simply can't recommend this restaurant. Pros: ambience, parking more

slow, overrated, ran out of prime rib! 10/9/2004

Went for a small birthday party. They mistakenly brought an appetizer belonging to the other table to ours, set it down for a while then unapologetically snatched it back off the table and delivered it to the one behind us. When it came time to order, they ran out of prime rib (again stately matter of factly, no apology!?!) Dinner was served about 1.5 hr after we were seated. Seafood brochette was far too garlicy. Service was generally slow and unapologetic. The only decent dish was a weekly special crab stuffed halibut Pros: easy parking, nice view Cons: , ran out of prime rib, SLOW bad service more

You Get What You Pay For 10/8/2004

Although Kincaid's has some high prices, you definitely get what you pay for. They have great food and excellent drinks. I recommend taking a quick walk into the bar just to see their giant display of alcohol. Reservations are a must otherwise you'll be waiting for quite a while. Pros: Great Food, Great Drinks Cons: , Bad Parking more

The BEST rib on the Peninsula! 5/14/2004

Hands down, the best prime rib on the Peninsula. Rock salt roasted to perfection, the meat is always tender, juicy and FULL of flavor. You cannot beat the freshly grated horseradish that comes with it! The best meal is made when the meat is paired with the garlic shrimp. Mmm! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! We happened upon this place accidentally and it quickly became a favorite. While the service can be lacking, the food and drinks (top notch mojitos!!) more than make up for it, and the view is gorgeous on a clear day at sunset. This place blows Broadway Prime and Outback (ick!) out of the water. For around the same amt. of money you can have a much more enjoyable meal, but prepared for a wait if you don't have a reservation. Pros: AMAZING food, great view, delicious drinks Cons: , slow service, crowded more

Simply Fab! 3/28/2004

If youre looking for a fish, chops, and seafood place, kincaids in burlingame is it! i would recommend this property over kincaids in oakland. the service is quick and wonderful, and the food is absolutely fab!make sure to grab the prime rib and their delicious prime rib! 1 out of 10, kincaids is an 11! make sure to make dinner reservations.. kincaids can get really full really quick! Pros: good parking, service is friendly, great waterfront view more

Great food, pushy service 10/24/2002

Food is always spectacular, drinks are great. Wait staff is frequently pretentious, and often pushy when you don't order a lot off the menu. Atmosphere is elegant, if a bit dated. Pros: great food, good drinks, water views Cons: pushy waitstaff, dated decor more
