This is response to Brittney's bad review. I am Kim Lake. First off, Brittney was on a budget. What she wanted was very long thick hair for her budget of $1000. The amount of hair and the length, at my price, was closer to $2000. So, we agreed to talk about another solution. She would have my junior stylist, and less hair. It was agreed. She said she didn't really need it as thick as it was. Yes, I can do the installation in as little as 4 hours. However, I informed Brittney that with Stephanie, it may be longer since she is less experienced. She is slower. However, Stephanie had to, first, remove Brittney's old extensions. So her saying I told it will be 4 hours at the salon total is a lie. Also, Brittney likens herself to being an expert and she kept insisting that Stephanie put more on the bottom, because ""that's where it is short."" and ""any professional should know that."" Is what Brittney said. So Stephanie made small pieces so enough would go up top. I used top quality remy, double drawn hair. She went home, thought it was too thin and then she added some taped in ones herself and then cut it herself. Then she called me for help. We agreed I would add more hair except it will cost $175. for more hair. Another lie that I told her $350.00 more. I gave her wholesale price on the hair as well, plus I said I would take out what she put in and fix it all myself. Agreed. She agreed. Next morning, her boyfriend found out she lied about how much it cost. She told him she paid $200. total. Another lie. Well, her boyfriend was very mad and then she went after me, viciously, and in an unprofessional manner, to get her money back. While I will do and have done everything to remedy a client's issues, I did not agree this was a legitimate reason to give her money back. I felt as if she were trying to swindle me to recover the money she got in trouble for spending. She used foul language with me when I explained how I can not. She made a lot of threats and I have it all on text, some of which were what the law would considered felony harassment. The attorney general dismissed her complaint already. She didn't have the budget for what she wanted and she tried to bully and intimidate me into giving her what she wanted. I can not do that to my clients who pay full price. I can not give her what she refuses to pay for. Her deal was Stephanie and less hair, and she agreed, and then she agreed for me to add more and fix the mess she put in it herself, and then, suddenly, wanted her money back. No deal. Did she mention that she cut and tried to add more of her used taped in extensions before she called me to complain about her nightmarish hair, that she made herself? I don't appreciate how she treated Stephanie while in my salon. She bossed her on how to do it. Brittney told me that she has always been unhappy with everyone who does her hair. Her previous salon where she cried foul said the same thing. That salon owner is a friend of mine. She wanted more hair but did not want to pay for it. This is my one complaint and I didn't actually do her hair but I stand by my stylist, Stephanie.
