Interacting with this man has scared me to write this review. His life seems to revolve around intimidation, threats, manipulation and just plain meanness. Of course if you never question his teaching or business practices you'll get along fine. But sooner or later you will question him and it will get ugly, very ugly. Especially if it affects his wallet. He will only befriend you if it increases his credibility, which is shakey at best. Do yourself a favor and stay away. more

My son has been attending Grandmaster Sullivan’s karate school for several months now and absolutely loves it. From what I see, all of the other kids in his classes love it too.He is learning so much so quickly and is demonstrating more self-confidence and responsibility at home and at school. It has made such a difference in his ability to focus on his school assignments and homework, and he now listens very well to directions and instructions. Grandmaster Sullivan runs a very structured, positive, and encouraging environment. He communicates regular with the parents about each student’s progress. He is also always willing to take the time aside to talk with me as well as the other parents about our children’s progress and to answer specific questions that we might have. When directing students he is very kind, positive, and consistent. When correcting behaviors he always refers to the specific behaviors that need to stop and redirects the students by encouraging positive behaviors and praising achievements. I always see all of his students focused and participating and learning so much! I can definitely see that Grandmaster Sullivan is an expert at what he does, and I feel that my son is in a great program. This karate school is a fun and exciting place to be a part of! The prices are also very reasonable and affordable compared to other schools that I have seen. This has been the best thing that I have ever done for my son, and now the kickboxing classes are a great thing that I am doing for myself. Thank you Grandmaster Sullivan! You rock!!! more

Grandmaster Sullivan holds regular student performances where the parents can watch what their students have learned. He also holds monthly Friday training events for the kids with games, special activities, prizes, and a movie. I stayed for one of these to check it out-they are such a fantastic, fun-filled time for the kids. I can definitely see that Grandmaster Sullivan is an expert at what he does, and I feel that my son is in a great program. This karate school is a fun and exciting place to be a part of! The prices are also very reasonable and affordable compared to other schools that I have seen. This has been the best thing that I have ever done for my son. Thank you Grandmaster Sullivan! It's hard to believe this man is still in business, I have seen him demoralize parents and kids, and act totally inappropriate to young ladies. You are only good to him if you add a financial prospect or credibility to his failing reputation. He is mean, manipulative and intimidating. He prays on fragile females to control. I have seen this multiple times up close. My children took classes from him for a short time, and what I saw was so opposite of a positive role model. I am sure there are many quality martial art instructors out there, this is not one of them. more

This guy is creepy sent my daughter to his class only to pick her up as he is trying to flirt with her she's only a teenager! He could be her grandfather VERY disturbing and discusting. Be warned. This guy also has like 20 letters from himeself on this web page talking about how great his own business is I guess someone has to think it is great no one else in town does more

Yea kind of creepy the owner has to have literally 19 open letters from himself where he goes on and on about how great he and his business are. Who has time for that? Or the ego for it? more

The only good reviews about this place r all done by kevin himself the owner. they r all done exactly 6 months ago at the same time he was on this site rating his OWN business writing an open letter trying to explain all the horrible true reviews n he thinks everyone is too stupid to realize this ?! What a joke just like his business and character. more

I experienced an awful side of Kevin Sullivan. While I agree he can have a positive instructing mentality when it comes to teaching children, he can also be manipulative, pushy and scary. He does not care about the well being of others and when he doesn't get what he wants (such as a date), he will become vengeful. Please, be aware that he has two sides before chosing to interact with Kevin on any level. I, myself, am truly traumatized by his actions and vague threats more

We Met Hundreds of other Parents and Students that have enjoyed a Great Experience at this school so are we! It is a Great Place for learning the highest quality Martial Arts and becoming physically fit. Safe, Fun, Fantastic and Totally worth it. I did 12 years of Kung Fu practice and we tried a class for our son with Kevin. As the head of IT for a large area hospital and 12 years background in Martial Arts Training my wife and I are VERY Selective and we then went and had our son try 7 other Martial Arts Schools. We chose Kevin Sullivan's Karate School for many reasons. We Liked everything that Kevin Teaches. Professional, caring, polite and a great background with indepth knowledge of the Martial Arts is what we wanted for a Teacher. Well four years later and our son still Loves it! We observed lots of other successful parents love it as well. during our time here 6 or 7 Doctors children attend and Kevin is strict on getting each child to bring out their best. The Belt Tests at amazing to watch the progress our son and the other kids parents that we mentioned are doctors, love how Kevin preaches " What you Earn - You Get" so for any child to earn a belt rank with him is a solid achievement and the physicians mentioned to us they like it because Grandmasters strict approach to earning your belt will have their child ready for the Medical Board Exam someday!! We are so proud of our son finally making it onto the Honor Roll and Student Government due in large part to what he learns and is motivated to achieve from all that he learns form his Karate Training. So If you want the best traing around form someone with a real good background and great reputation that Gets Results with kids, you do not have to do what we did going to 7 other schools...... just try this place out. They Love it And We appreciate all it has done for them so far!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes hard to get there, we are busy , busy! BUT It helps in everything our kids do. Sometimes we gotta tell them to get to class, once in they are smiling and training hard having fun with their karate friends. the other kids are always helpful and supportive. Some are funny. Some are pretty far out there. Some I would not dignify with a response. Being more a student of the Martial Arts and a positive lifestyle, than the wild, wild web-world of the Internet, I'm not quite sure what to make of it all. It's quite surprising. I do know that boys will be boys and you can’t please everyone. I neither take offense nor do I take these things too seriously.
