I love their happy hour. Food is great compared to price. Good quality sushi and sashimi. Servers are really nice and friendly. Happy hour runs even on weekend and all night long on Sunday. I will definitely go back!!! more

Kenzo has a new and very delicious variety of Korean food. I went there last weekend and discovered this! Thanks to Kenzo's I now can eat a delicious gourmet Korean dinner for an incredible price without driving all the way to Houston like I used to! The staff was very nice and the restaurant is very pretty! We received our food very quick too. I will be coming here regularly for sure! Oh yea and they have happy hour everyday of the week! You can't beat that more

I have to say this is one of the BEST sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and did very well when they were having a big rush. The food was absolutely delicious! I love how the fish tasted really fresh! I would most definitely recommend this place to a friend! more

Good food but terrible service. We couldn't seem to get our drinks refilled. I sat for 15 minutes with an empty glass. It totally ruined the mood. We won't go back. We usually go to Sakura on FM 529, where my glass is never empty and my plate is always full. more

Food was pretty good. Wine also was good. However the manager ruined the entire experience. Our waitress was not very attentive however the food was good and we were celebrating my wife's birthday and having a great dinner. We had received a coupon for her birthday via email from Kenzo. When we redeemed the coupon they informed us that it did not cover rolls only Entr?es, which was not stated on the coupon. Now we probably would have been ok if they had said we are really sorry or maybe can we get you a birthday dessert on us...but no they were rude and condescending, almost as if we were inconveniencing them. They blamed it on the owner and then told us the owner was not ""available to speak to us"". There are way too many choices of fine places to eat to be baited and switched by Kenzo Sushi. I am in marketing and sales and I feel they falsely advertised with their coupon. I would never recommend this restaurant . more

My sister and I took the kids to Kenzo for lunch this past Sat. It was so good. They have the bento box lunches for around $8! What a deal! You get variety of food, salad, soup...Yummy! I'm craving it now. We ordered different things and shared. They were all good. My little niece ordered Shimp Tempura. They gave other fried veggies on the side too. My wife and I just moved to Katy after a few years in the North East (CT, NY and MD). We are incredibly happy to have found a great local sushi place. We thought we would have to drive to the city every week, but now instead we just go to Kenzo. It is always nice to go since the service is great and the food is outstanding. Fully recommend it! I went there for my friend's birthday and I couldn't have ever asked for an awesome service and food. The food was spectacular and of course, you have to have the best service for the night to roll...oh yeah, it was there. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and to my family. The restaurant was so clean that I thought Mr. Clean came and cleaned up the place. This restaurant is a must to check out. After all, I went there from Cypress. Pros: The Best Japanese ever!!! more

The wife & I have been eating at Kenzo's for two years. We go at LEAST once a week. The Sushi is ALWAYS fresh, meticulously made and excellent. The choice of appetizers is superb. The seared tuna & beef sashimi are primo. The management staff, Felicia, Erica and Sako; are outgoing, friendly and VERY personable. The serving staff has always been excellent, the Sushi Chefs do a wonderful job and are always trying new rolls & sauces. Try the Belize Breeze, South of the Border, Baked Bayou and the Red Hot Chili Peppers rolls. The restaurant is always clean, is well lit; the music is never overbearing and the style is changed frequently. The other Sushi places in Katy pale in comparison. I have never been to a restaurant such as this. It is not good, the service was okay but could be better, price was outrageous, and the time it took to get our food, I might as well have went to downtown with the time I spent waiting. When we arrived the tables were not even clean and it was piled up everywhere. Sanitation is key for me, and this place has clearly failed to prove anything worth going to for me. I go to this place a few times a week and love it. The bartenders and sushi chefs are super friendly. They have great sushi - try the messy road roll or try the hot rock beef - both are awesome. I had a seared scallop and prawn soup that was so good! Most of the sushi chefs are from Uptown sushi or other popular sushi restaurants in town so they are great at what they do! we were there tonight. we waited 30 minutes to have a waiter come to the table. he took our order then it took another 20 minutes to get a drink, even after we kept asking. Our food came an hour later, the order was WRONG. He forgot my salad (said ""i could not hear you). they ran around like chickens without heads, many people left after waiting an hour or more. my 8 year old daughter's food was served cold (tempura). the sushi came without ginger or wasabi. it was huge hunks of flesh, like someone just chunked it off the side of a fish. The edamami were bland (if that could ever happen). they took 15 percent off the bill and took te things off the bill that we didn't order. I WILL NEVER GO back, this used to be a nice place but look at recent reviews, simply a pit of awfulness. Cons: bad food worse service more

I just found this place out, at first i thought it was going to be nice but upon arriving, i see, which i found out later to be when going inside, the sushi chefs smoking outside. so first impression bad already. The rolls that did come out were nothing special i've had better and for a lot better prices too. service was just horrible they looked like i was a burden to serve and would rather talk amongst themselves. I just moved to the area and wanted to try new sushi restaurants. This place was a BIG disappointment. The sushi was not even good and not wrapped tight enough, the sashimi was not fresh at all. There was not that many customers when I was dining there and the service from the waiters were so slow. They seem to be taking smoke breaks every 5 mins. Went with my wife on a Wednesday night and I will say that I thought it was great. I have tried most of the Japanese style restaurants in the area and thought it was the best value for the price. $13 for a bento box that was packed with good food and came with soup as well. They also have great specials during the week that makes it that much more worthwhile. Wednesday was $6/glass of any wine they sell per glass and half price on some roll (cant remember the name) but it was awesome.. They also have a wide range of specials all week giving a break on the somewhat high priced sushi. We will go back for sure. My friends and I loved this place. Atmosphere is different than any other sushi place in Katy. We loved the decor. It was our first time eating there. Waiter was attentive. We had Ahi Tuna salad (read other review. too bad). It was delicious. We loved it! We also had Houstonian, Cougar or Tiger (don't remember the name) rolls, and Nabeyaki Udon. They were all sooo good. We had miso soup as well (I hate it when it's too salty. this was perfect). We also had dessert...creme brulee and mochi ice cream. Everything was perfect. We loved it! We will definitely go back! Let me start off by saying the service was excellent, I was greeted by many ladies at the front, and taken to my table promptly. Although it quickly declined from there. With the exception of an mediocre service (I couldnt find that my server was doing anything wrong, but didn't wow me.) He was an asian server not sure what his name was. Anywho to get to the point after my husband and my son ordered 3 rolls for themselves and I had an ahi tuna salad...we didnt get the food until approximately 45 min!! This is ridiculous, i was tempted to leave serveral times. When the food did come out, it seemed like my salad was soggy and just not fresh. My husbands rolls were quite okay and he and my son didnt have a problem with it. After leaving the restaurant my stomach was upset and the food went right back up. I am not sure if it was from trying one of the pieces of the rolls, because my husband and son were fine so I am thinking it was something in the salad. Let's just say that I will NOT ever be coming back to this restaurant. What a waste because the atmosphere is quite fantastic but dont let that fool you. I would take the drive out to somewhere much more well worth it. Even SUSHI HANA in katy is better than this! Pros: Atmosphere, hostesses. Cons: PRICE/FOOD more
