A great place to buy shoes. I buy all my shoes there. He measures your feet, and gets them to fit your feet too. Without doubt a good place to shop.\r \r For the nancy boys out there or the commie spoiled brats, he might seem abrasive, but he is smart and does a good job. The store is not closed. It is a really good place to shop for shoes. It is the only place I go when I need New Balance tennis shoes. \r \r Shop and buy with confidence. more

What a store 12/8/2012

Having been in the store several times in the past several years I can only say ""where can men go and find such selection of great shoes and fun, honest service?"" Kent's is the best. Kent and his helper Ken, are welcoming and helpful in many regards. I have witnessed both in action...they are truly wanting the best for men's feet in Lincoln. Thanks Kent. more

Terrible customer service 12/30/2011

I bought a pair of shoes at Kents 1-1.5 years ago. The best shoes I have owned so I went in to get shoes and to look at the advertized sale. One gentleman at the door did not seem real glad to see me but did comment on the shoes I own and said good a while. He showed me some shoes and then in the middle of the showing he waits on another lady and them proceeds to check out another. I remeber that Kent himself did the same when I bought shoes. I wanted some butter for shoes but he now charges 10 for a little can. When I told him my problems he said I could not buy anything at the store. WILL NOT GO BACK more

Mens Shoe Place without equal 10/31/2011

I noticed that some thot the store was closed...not at all...its going great guns. I love it however, I'm sure there are people who would not: e.g. prima donnas, spineless morphs, mamma's boys and non-thinkers. Kent is the most knowledgeable retailer I've ever dealt with but, he does not abide fools lightly. For professional service by professionals...get to Kent's. more

Quality Shoes 7/28/2011

I have bought a number of pairs of shoes and boots from Kent's Mens Shoes over the last 5+ years. The shoes have been very good quality and the staffs knowledge of their products have been the best I have ever encountered. I did buy a pair of Nike running shoes there and the shoe soles separated after a few months. Without hesitation Kent replaced the defective pair with a new pair. I have bought Clarks, Dunham, New Balance ( these seems different than the box store models ) and Ecco shoes from Kents. All have been excellent quality (except the Nikes ). I did online comparisons for price and Kent's Mens Shoes were quite competitive. Does anyone really want to buy a pair of shoes without trying them on? I have had Kent order me shoes too. I have had to wait for them but if they didn't work for some reason I didn't buy them. I have experienced nothing but excellent customer service. I have found that If someone is very knowledgeable on a subject they almost always have a very confident opinion about that subject that some find offensive. If your wondering, I really don't know Kent from Adam. I have just bought the shoes from him or one of the other guys in the store. I couldn't tell you even his last name. I assume the guy working in the store named Kent is the owner? more

Will never go back again. 7/25/2011

After being greeted by Kent I told him I'd was looking for a specific shoe I learned about online. I knew he carried the brand and had bought shoes from him in the past. After telling me ""the internet is just a bunch of crap and you cant believe a thing on it"" along with some other opinions and non-factual statements, he said he didn't have it and couldn't order it, but told me what shoe I should buy. I agreed to at least try it on as he insisted, but found it less than comfortable and quickly decided it was not what I wanted. He very quickly got aggravated, told me I'm ""kind of persnickety"". I sensed he was having a bad day at the least, but figured that could happen to anyone at some point. I looked around the small store a bit more checking out the other styles on display, but he clearly had no interest in helping me any further if I wouldn't buy what he suggested. I swear I was as polite as could be, but learned he has become an opinionated, judgmental and disgruntled man. I like to help the small local business, but he clearly doesn't care about more business. After quietly walking out I was blown away by Kent's behavior. I bought an expensive pair of shoes at Brown's at the other end of building a few minutes later in a style I wasn't even looking for that day just because they were friendly. more

Beware of Kent (tall, 50's, bald) 4/24/2010

I must start on a good note and first say that the store has a good selection of mens shoes for one store. Now to the other important part for any store ..... the customer service. After I entered the store and looked around for a particular shoe, which I could not find, I told him about the shoe that I liked. I found the shoe in the Clarks booklet that he brought out, and he said he had a pair of those. Luckily (or unluckily) he had one more pair that was my size. He brought it out and not so gently placed it on the table saying it was his last pair. At first I noticed it wasn't the same shoe (although similar) as in the book, but still tried it on anyway. After I tried it on, I took it off and told him I didn't think it was the same shoe, politely. He said I was wrong and it was the same, I disagreed, and while he was getting more aggravated, I told him not to worry about sir and walked out before things escalated. Well obviously the customer is not always right in this store. Maybe because I am young, but I never felt respected in there. He seems to be a very opinionated man, so if you want someone to tell you what to buy, this might be a good choice, but do not disagree with him. Save yourself some trouble and walk on the backside of the outlet mall and go to Browns shoes. They also have a good selection, more space, and much better customer service. Good luck on shoe shopping! Pros: Decent Selection Cons: Customer Service more

The Place to Buy Shoes... And More! 4/2/2009

Kent is knowledgable, personable, and has set me straight in how to dress and accessorize for a professional appearance. Things my dad would have told me, if he'd had the chance. Pros: Kent is a men's fashion resource. It's more than shoes! more
