After trying Kali's Court, which I enjoyed very much, I just haaad to try Mezze. I found a parking garage a block up the street for $3.00, so I didn't have to work up a sweat on the way to dinner - Fells Point is usually packed on the weekends. I went with my mother and her friend, both in their early 60's, and both avid foodies. Although there were a few open tables on the first level, the hostess simply said, ""Upstairs."" She plainly pointed at the staircase. We found a table, and in under ten minutes we were given menus. Everything went smoothly, we tried the Oven Baked Oysters, Shrimp Cakes, Grilled Sardines, Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppers, and old reliable Olives, Spinach Pie, and Roasted Eggplant. They give you a small starter dish of a few olives, and bring a medium sized cone dish of delicious, warm, pita bread. The sangria was sweet and fruity, and available in a carafe. All the food was tastey, and lived up to expectations, but not remarkable. I appreciated that the waiter paced the delivery of the dishes, and they began to arrive promptly. As the last empty dish was removed, we were considering ordering one more thing. The waiter said he would give us a minute to think about it, and gave us a strange look when we asked for some more pita while we reviewed the menu. He disappeared for about 20 minutes, and the pita was delivered by someone else. He then made an appearance in the room, to talk to another table, and ignored my, ""excuse me"", twice. More time goes by. It was getting late so when somone came to wipe down an empty neighboring table I asked if he could locate our server. After the weird vibe, and the neglect, we decided to just take our check.
Pros: close parking lot, tastey food
Cons: strange service
