Had never heard of Keep Moving until a friend of mine mentioned they were listed in Groupon. From the very first call in which I spoke with Jenn, I felt very comfortable with this company. The subsequent calls and moving service provided by Desmond and Eric confirmed my first impression. These guys were great! Polite, professional, calming, funny - I can't say enough about the moving service they offered. I have had appliances damaged in the past by other movers and was very pleased with how all of my things were handled with care even as these gentlemen had to maneuver some bulky pieces of furniture down a staircase that has a 90 degree turn. I will definitely be calling Keep Moving again as well as recommending this company to all of my friends and family! Thank you! Becky W. more

I attempted to contact your company 4 times and never got any sort of response back. Took my business elsewhere. more

Worst Movers- Don't be fooled by the cheap price 9/1/2011

Horrible moving experience. After quoting me for 2 hours and a half for a 2 bedroom apartment, the 2 guys took 6 hours to move our stuff. They walked at turtle pace and did not know how to efficiently transport stuff from storage to truck. If it wouldn't have been for me telling them to pick up the pace every 3 seconds, the guys would have taken each piece of disassembled wood one by one to the truck. When I called the manager to complain after seeing the way things were going, he was just plain rude. He claimed his people were highly qualified for their job. Well not the ones I got. I recommend this company observe their employees' work to get a sense of their quality. Don't be fooled by their cheap price. 3 months ago I moved out of a 3 bedroom apartment and Two Men and a Truck only took 21/2 hours in the move. Certainly a huge difference. more

OK but overpriced 7/27/2011

I tried to schedule an appointment and then had to call them back because I never heard back from them. They showed up a little late and did a respectable job, but nothing spectacular compared to other local movers. Speed was not a strong point, but both guys were personable. For the price, not what I expected. more

Exceptional Movers 4/27/2011

These guys were awesome! I've never used movers before, but after our last move, my husband and I said we would never do it on our own again. Thankfully I came across Keep Moving. They had the best rate and friendliest service. Mandi was very helpful before the move and answered all my questions. Oscar and Eric were amazing. I couldn't believe how fast they moved and were so nice and funny too! We went from a 3rd floor apartment to a first and they hauled it on those stairs. It took less than 3 hours and they were done. Hopefully I won't be moving again for a long time, but if so I'm not going with anyone else! more

Best Movers I've ever used 3/28/2011

I would definitely recommend these guys. We moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a one-story house. They worked their butts off to get it all done. We went with 3 guys and the hourly rate. Their quote was pretty accurate on how much time it would take. \r \r I've used a lot of movers in my time & none of them compared to Keep Moving. When I move again, I will definitely use them again. more

Great moving company 10/20/2010

Well lets say I have used other Companies for moving and by far this is the best one. Just need to tell the guys if you have any big dips in your apartment complex or house. (They got stuck) (LOL) I am a bus driver and it has happend to me. \r They came the next morning and they were very nice and had lots of engery. They moved me with out breaking or scratching anything. I would and will use this Company again in the future.\r Thanks Patti for your help also. more

Response! 7/8/2010

We will start by saying that the main goal of Keep Moving is to provide the least stressful moving experience as possible. As you all know moving is very stressful, and there can be many unexpected events that occur. So we will address all of Samantha's concerns and reservations accordingly to let you here our side of this story. We will start with the bid, Samantha informed US (Patti, and Derik) Several times that we were around $400 (not $600) more than other bids. Even with this she still felt more comfortable with us due to our professionalism and her comfort level. With that said we were the only company to offer her a free in home estimate at her current residence in Kempner Tx (over 60 miles form Austin). So therefore we are probably the only company that could offer an accurate quote. (Move total wound up being over $200 less than original estimate!). We pride ourselves in being the best, most honest, and upfront moving company around, not being the cheapest. In Samantha's defense about the second fuel charge she is correct we did not discuss the possibility in needing to make a second trip. This was a mistake on our part we failed to mention the size and capacity of the truck (36' enclosed gooseneck moving trailer. one of the largest in Austin) and should have discussed the possibility of a second trip. But after management was informed that the possibility of an additional fuel/Mileage was not discussed the charges were completely waived. As far as the truck breaking down, as you all know things like this happen. Samantha's Truck actually broke down as well that day. (Late model Ford diesel) Our ""truck"" is a late model (2003) Dodge 1 ton crew cab dually and is a $20,000+ used truck. We had installed a brand new clutch at an ASE certified mechanic only 8 days prior. We obviously had issues with it due to improper installation. We believe the situation was handled very professionally and as promptly as possible. We had another late model (2004) Chevrolet 3500 crew cab diesel dually dispatched within 1.5 hours (keep in mind we are over 60 miles away. As far as being late goes, We NEVER said we would be there between 7:30 -8am. That would mean leaving Austin at 6 am. The first day of the move was Tue 29th the guys arrived around 9:30am (Packing actually started at 10:10 according to the move contract) the packing took the exact estimated time of 8hrs. The day of the actual move was Thursday the 1st of July. If you all will recall it was POURING rain for the first half of the day. It did delay us in arriving ""on time"" and we take 100% responsibility for that and should have called that morning. On the move day we made one FULL load and only had the garage knick-knacks and a few pieces of furniture left for a second trip. The guys packed the 2nd trip waist high without using the attic at all(maybe 40% full at most) The second unload that we started at around 1 am only took us 40 min! Derik (General Manager) had Samantha Fill out a CC authorization from simply for our records (as we do on all jobs) we did not fill in an amount and said we would ""settle"" up the next day. We then calculated the move total, not including the extra fuel/ Mileage charge, and the difference in packing materials and any changes that needed to be made. The final grand total was still $200+ under the original estimate. As far as the final price goes, we did not charge for ANYTHING that was not discussed and we deducted some of the final charges. I’m not sure how they can have an issue with the final price when it was less than the original estimate. !\r Thank you all. \r SEE COMMENT more

quite a moving experience 7/7/2010

First of all, the guys were great. JJ, Matt, Jeff, Ramon did a great job. They packed most everything up with care (broke one wine goblet...but that is it). Loaded the truck and did a great job under the circumstances. The circumstances though were a bit stressful. First of all, the bid was $600 higher then anyone else that bid the move. Patti came to the house and did a walk through and I provided an inventory list for her. After receiving the bid, I told Patti that she was significantly higher then anyone else... (grant it, I did not have anyone else do the walk through but did provide the inventory list). Patti assured me that it was a quyote and she most likely over estimated the bid... and then reminded me of the extra insurance and the great service. I decided to go with Keepmoving because of her reassurance. Well, the crew was a bit late during pack out.. No big deal.. they worked hard... we bought them lunch all was good. Then on moving day.. they were extremely late. Was told they would be here at 730-800... but didn't show until 1030. I called at 900ish and Patti informed me that they had a rain delay... I had to call to find this out. Then when they did arrive...Derek was there for about 15 minutes... Guys spent about 3 hours loading and then told me that the would need to make a second trip... Patti then called me and informed me that I would be responsible for a second trip charge... I was a bit surprised... I disagreed with this because she did the walk through. It wasn't my fault that they did not send a big enough truck and trailer... I then talked to Derek... We never quite saw eye to eye.. but I was stuck.. they had half my stuff. We completed the first run, then came back for second run... loaded truck and they headed out at 800pm (2000), but 300 meters from old house, truck broke down (burned out clutch I think)... so had to get another truck, etc. Needless to say, the final box was unloaded and delevered into our home at almost 200am. Long day for all. Derek (commandable because he came up from Austin to help the guys when the truck broke down) stated that we would settle up tomorrow (but I needed to sign a credit card authorization). Next day Patti called and told me that under the circumstances, they were waiving the 2nd trip charge (I would hope so)... we settled and the final bill was still $400+ higher then any other bid. I share all of this with you so you can see another side of a move. This was not my first move either. I am a military spouse and military brat. I have moved my entier life...so I have a little experience in moving. Again, the guys did a great job.... little to no damage to our items or our new (new construction)home (a ding on a door or two and a few scratches on our new floor)... but other then that...nothing major... but the walk through was way off. I shold have been told that I ""may need another truck or that their trailer was only so big. I think this was a bigger job then they expected and they need to do a better job estimating. They missed by a lot... they filled the trailer completely full on the second trip. Oops. Would I use them again? Not sure.... but doubtful. Pros: actual moving crew was great Cons: inaccurate quote/truck broke down more

BEST MOVERS IN TOWN! 1/13/2010

The request for quote was wonderful. They matched my lowest bid. They called to confirm a day before the job. Arrived on time and prepared to get the job done. Derek and Matt moved me within the specified/quoted time frame with 15 minutes to spare! These guys are great! Pros: Fast and careful more

Great Job! 1/11/2010

TO ALL POTENTIAL CLIENTS OF KEEP MOVING: My wife and I recently moved back to Austin and found a great place over off of Lamar! After our initial move, I vowed NEVER to do a move myself again. Our previous experience was with a mover in South Carolina who was uninsured. They loaded our truck and we drove it to TX. After 1200 miles, we opened our truck to discover our furniture had collapsed and many of our favorite pieces had been damaged. So this time, we wanted to make sure that whoever moved us were INSURED, competetive on price and could move into a pretty difficult home(we have some intresting architecture) We were referred to Derek by a friend of ours in the Austin Young Chamber and owe him greatly for it! Derek was great to work with. Of all the companies I called, he was one of the few who not only called us back but made sure HE ""DELIVERED"" on everything he promised. He was on time, under what we budgeted and did an amazing job. We will definitely be referring you to our family, friends, and my clients as well. Thanks for everything, Roger and Melanie Plummer\r Roger Plummer ~ Austin , tx more

Great Service, Great Value, will hire again for sure 1/11/2010

After shopping around we hired Derik and his crew, and couldn't have been happier. We had a lot of concerns about our move...several breakable items, moving into a house with easily damaged floors, etc...and they were extremely careful. They were also incredibly efficient - moved us from a 2-bedroom apartment with a loaded garage into our house in exactly 3 hours!! Derik and his colleague were extremely courteous and professional and made a very stressful day into a great experience. You will absolutely get a great value if you hire them to do your move & with the variety of services they offer we will definitely call them again in the future. more

They are impressive! 11/24/2009

Recently, my husband and I bought our first home and I was already stressed with our closing date looming closer. We have lived in 4 different apt complexes over the years and the idea of moving, yet again, seemed to keep me reaching for the box of Pepcid. Past moves had required begging and bribing family and friends. My best friend suggested I call Keep Moving to alleviate some of the stress. Little did I know, it was the best thing I could have done. It was literally a one stop shop. Derik, the owner, gave me tons of options and asked pertinent questions about our situation. He even had a suggested checklist that I was grateful for. Before I knew it, I had a storage unit to store large furniture items, a cleaning/maid service to call to clean the apt, a carpet cleaning guy for both homes, and a date set to move! How much better could it get?! On our move date, Matt, Chris and Derik had everything loaded from our one bedroom apt in a HOUR and a HALF! It took them 35 MINUTES to unload. I was impressed. Some of that furniture is heavy! I would recommend them to anyone because I'm sure they will take care of you and your things, just like they did me. Pros: fast, affordable, one stop shop Cons: sweaty lol! more

Best moving experience I've had. 11/24/2009

I was really dreading this move, because the last time I went with a moving company I had a REALLY bad experience. I won't bore you with the details. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised by Keep Moving and their movers. First of all, even though I chose to go with their hourly rate, they were very fast and professional. They explained everything I could do to save myself money over the phone before the move. Then they were in and out in much less time than I had expected. I would definately recommend Keep moving if you are moving in the near future. Oh and they mailed my friend Steve 50 dollars for referring me too them. Steve, you owe me 25 bucks. Ha. Thanks again, Derik. Beyond this review I will be recommending Keep Moving to all my friends in the future. Partly cause I want 50 bucks though. Lol Sincerely, Kyle Rowley Pros: Fast and Professional more
