I have visited the store a few times recently and had good experiences both times. My initial visit was during a wine tasting. I found that they had a good selection of tasting wines and all the staff was personable and helpful. I thought their prices were pretty decent as well. The second visit was a bit shorter as I knew what I wanted, but still found the man behind the counter to be friendly and tried to help me quickly when there was a question with the pricing. It looks like the store has definitely worked on their customer service in the last year, as I experienced none of the problems others have. more

Ahhh KJ Baarons. This location is an attempt at a little more of a high end liquor store. I will say that the store presents a clean location with a variety of choices of wine, good scotches, and cigars. The store boasts a great wine tasting room with many functions and events. This is what seperates KJ Baarons from a good (high end) liquor store; customer service. \r \r I have never been treated so rude in my life as I do at KJ Baarons. This is not all the time and not every employee there. I am also not looking to get overwhelmed with a bubbly assistant when I making my purchases. I also under the great responsiblity in selling liquor to the general public. However, this attitude from MOST employees at this location is uncalled for because in reality, no matter what they think, the place really isn't that great. \r \r I am writing this not because of one incident, but because of several incidents of rude employees. I give K J Barrons two stars for the spacious location and nice vendors they have displaying their wines. However; I give negative points for the poor customer service. The snotty attitude of the gentleman assisting us was not appreciated. When my sister asked for assistance selecting a 'Good Bottle of Wine' for a gift, he said to his fellow co-woker 'As if all our wines aren't good!'. And later when I asked for assistance on a particular type of wine, he picked up the phone and was yapping away instead of giving us attention. Great assortment of wines, spirits and cheeses. We used the venue for a wine tasting/birthday party in August of ?08 and got rave revues from our friends! Kathryn Krock the owner, put together a great evening and our wine pourer named Kostika was extremely knowledgeable. We paid for the wine that was poured. In addition, there was a small room fee, but with all of the wine that our guests (voluntarily) bought the fee was offset. Kathryn let us bring in our own catering which helped us keep costs down. The wine tasting room is beautiful and I would suggest that you use it for a private or corporate party. Pros: Centrally located in Worcester, great prices Cons: You have to go inside to fully appreciate the place more
