This guy is a pathelogical LIAR. Never, never, never hire this guy for anything. You will be instantly ripped-off. The work will never get done. He won't return calls either. I should have checked here first.....\r third review here that John Vargas takes the money to buy materials and does NOT complete the jobs\r His home/office is at 119 Rei Tang Loop, Kyle Texas\r The only way I could get a call or movement was to go visit his office at that address.\r If you are considering JVs for a job, be very careful about giving him money--advance no more than 50% until the job is done.\r And then consider finding another contractor...... Disappointed that we contracted with JV's Roofs Works, Kyle, TX in good faith to replace our residential roof tops covered under insurance claim worth $16, 000. John's nice approach & integrity was quiet deceiving; we agreed that he would begin project mid July 2008 with anticipation to complete within a couple of weeks time, evidenced it's now October 2008, he failed to return to complete the job and unfortunately for us, JV was paid in full. No conscious or wrongdoing demonstrated by John for taking $16K that is not his and for failure to complete job as promised, he never returns phone calls or gives reason for unfinished business. His company left decent family household without a roof top. His company caused additional damages to the interior home, water leaks for failure to tarp roof tops. Need a reference; come look for yourself - 622 S. Guadalupe Street, Lockhart, TX, only house with partial roof top, metal debris still evident in the yard, debris hanging from roof top. Our experience has been quiet traumatic; JV's Roof Works was not impressive; John Vargas, owner, did not have the courtesy to provide the quality or great service we were promised in the beginning. more

We hired John to replace our metal roof. We had received 3 bids and John's was the best price. We felt comfortable and confident in him. We had a written contract as well. John started the job right on time. We paid him as per the draws. They did a great job and we were very pleased....until he failed to finish the job. All he lacked was replacing the chimney cap and he would be done. He told us he had it built and that it would only take an hour or so to take the old down and put the new up. That was when he was still answering our phone calls. Now 4 months later and we cannot even get him to answer or call us back. My last resort it to take him to court over this. The larger issue is what if we have a leak in our new metal roof, what will we do? If he won't answer his phone now, warranty issue or not, I have no hope that he will answer if we have a major problem. Since he is local we felt that he would be around to honor his warranty if anything ever came up. Now we aren't sure. \r We are very dissapointed in the way this has turned out as John seemed to be a decent guy and his crew did a very thourough job in cleaning up and were very careful with our landscaping. \r Contract or not, a man is only as good as his word and evidently John nor his words are. I HIRED THIS COMPANY TO LEVEL MY HOME AND INSTALL NEW WINDOWS, DOORS, AND EVEN HAD A DECK BUILT WITH A PERGOLA COVER. THIS WAS ALL DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND JOHN WAS VERY HONEST WITH ME. EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN THE CONTRACT WAS COMPLETED AND I WAS VERY SATISFED. I HOPE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE. more

I hired this company back in August 2007 to build a bathroom in my garage,\r I paid $4000 dlls for the job which to this date still incomplete. I have tried several times to contact the company's owner Mr John Vargas and he just stopped answering my calls in March 2008.\r From my pocket I have spent more than 500 dlls so an electrician and a plumber could finish some of the job Mr Vargas failed to complete. Outside my house a pile of dirt still stting there where Mr Vargas dig a hole to connect pipes for that reason my grass is ruined and the house looks bad since it is in front of the house.\r Trimmings in the bathroom are incomplet and everything is just a mess. I have no money to pay more contractors. A complain against JVS ROOF WORKS LLC was filed in the Better Bussiness Bureau.\r It makes me feel so helpless to know that there are actually companies like this that can just easily take our money and run. I do have copies of the two cheks given to Mr Vargas, $2000 dlls each back in 2007. Almost a year now and I am still holding on to a slim hope that Mr Vargas one day will come to my house and finish what he barely started.\r \r more
