My boyfriend and I are Foodies..We heard on the ""Best thing that I ever ate"" that the Jug HAndle had the best wings. The following weekend we took a ride to taste there wings....They were WRONG!!!! They were horriable. We were both had upset stomachs for the rest of the day...Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Jug Handles Wings.....If you would like to try some good wings for the area..Head to Byrnes in Port Richmond, Philadelphia...... more

If you want a pleasant DINING experience, Go back to Friendlys. This is a bar, not a diner. I come here to catch a game on TV, listen to some local bands, jam out to the jukebox, and even feed an occasional racoon from the back porch overlooking the creek. I like going out to the gazebo for beer and relaxation. Yes I like getting loud on occasion like when my EAGLES score and this bar allows me to do so. I take great offense to those who wrote that the Jug is a bar for hicks with no ambition. Quite frankly, I consider myself neither a hick nor an individual with no ambition. In fact, I hold the title of Director of Food & Beverage for one of the most successful hotel companies in the world. I was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia and not some small suburban town. I enjoy fine dining, foreign cuisine, and exotic foods. But I am also a real man who is passionate about his Philly sports teams, his wings, and his cold beer. Indeed, the Jug is a bar for real men and women who have spend their entire week busting their tail to make a living. The Jug is a place where you can get away from expectations of society and just be yourself. Don't come to the Jug riding in on your high horse because you'll find no servants. What you will find is a hard working staff representative of the patrons they serve. Yes, a true local dive bar in every sense where the delicious wings aren't the only thing that is sloppy. A real man/woman will appreciate the ambiance or lack thereof, and a real business man/woman should at least appreciate the concept. A real bar for real men and women. No wonder the place is packed every night. I just can't wait for the warm weather so I can go to the outside bar and throw horseshoes and washers. Seriously people? The Jug is a dive bar with great wings, cheap drinks, and an easy-going staff. Of course it is loud and foul mouthed...... it is a bar! If you don't like it, go during the day or to a T.G.I.Fridays. You complained and asked to speak to the manager? hahaha Did Zack tell you to kiss his as*? If not, he should have.\r \r To the young lady who wrote ""I hate the Jug."" It is not the fault of the bar that your Dad can't keep it in his pants. Redirect your anger little lady. If the Jug wasn't there he'd go to the Alden or the Whistlers Inn. They are there to make money, not to babysit your daddy.\r \r The wings at the Jug are deep fried, not baked or grilled like most chain eateries. They also have a wing sauce that will make you dip everything in sight to soak up all of the goodness.\r \r Finally, the chickens that are out front are not the chickens they cook. There is a farm across RT.73, that is where they come from. more

I HATE THE JUG HANDLE INN. THE JUG HANDLE CAUSED PROBLEMS FOR MY FAMILY. MY DAD HAS HAD SEVERAL AFFAIRS WITH DIFFERENT WOMEN IN THAT PLACE. HE CONTINUES TO GO IN THERE WHICH ONLY MAKES ME AND MY MOM WONDER WHO IS MESSING AROUND WITH NOW. I WANT MY TO LEAVE HIM BUT SHE WON'T BECAUSE SHE HAS NO ONE ELSE AND MY DAD IS HER CASH FLOW WHAT CASH HE DOESN'T DUMP INTO THAT PLACE THAT IS. THE BARTENDERS AND OWNERS ALL KNOW ME AND MY SISTER AND MY MOM BUT THEY JUST TURN A BLIND EYE. \r \r I'VE PLAYED POOL WITH MY DAD AND I'VE EATEN THEIR WINGS AND EVEN SIGNED THE BRICKS IN CHALK BUT I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO RECOMMEND THAT PLACE TO ANYONE SINCE I KNOW WHAT THAT PLACE IS ALL ABOUT. Just don't get the appeal. Wings are o.k., had better. Service is o.k., had better. customer's definitely have seen better. Guess it's just a hick thing w/ ripped jeans, baseball caps, t-shirts. Oh and let's not forget the chickens that roam outside the parking lot. Are they the chickens being used for the wings..EWE!!!!! \r more

I read the only 3 reveiws about the Jug. I gotta tell ya. Although I agree that a bar is suppose to be loud, and the food is average, I don't really see anything special about it. I guess it just takes a low life w/ no ambition or of low income to really see anything special about that joint. Most of the bartenders are below par and as for the chickens hanging outside in the parking lot, wouldn't you think that would pose somewhat of a health issue. But to each his own I guess. more

The Jug Handle Inn was the worst dining experience I had ever encountered. The crowd in the downstairs portion of the establishment was loud and foul mouthed especially around the pool table facilities. I tried complaining to the bartender regarding this distraction and I was told to either exit to the outside deck which I believe was a smokers deck and I am not a smoker or go to the upstairs bar which was so crowded and less than standing room only, which was the reason for myself and my party settling on the basement. I had asked to speak to the owner and I was told that she did not have time for me. Great customer service. I will not be recommending the Jug Handle Inn to anyone in the near future for any future for that matter. more

I love their buffalo wings, its great! i will come in this bar once i visit New jersey or Philadelphia again. more
