EXCELLENT SERVICE!! 3/21/2009

These guys go above and beyond to provide excellent service. In addition to being very skilled mechanics, they are honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic in the area. I no longer live in the area, but make the trip from Pasadena whenever I have major car troubles, because I have not found a mechanic I can trust like More Joy. more

Friendly and Helpful Service 1/14/2009

Being a female who knows nothing about cars, this guy named Cesear, patiently explained tires to me. I had my front and rear tires installed for $389 which included labor and the cheapest tires they had. On top of their patience with my incessant questions, they took me home while they worked on car and then picked me up when my car was ready. I felt comfortable in their service and shall use them again if needed. more

best mechanic ive ever been to 9/3/2008

Don't go anywhere else if you're even remotely close to this place. I've never trusted mechanics but i trust these guys and so do my other two friends who use them. They tell you when work *doesnt* need to be done, they adjusted belts for me for free, and today they found that my car didnt need to do any work and it came back washed and vacuumed at no request and no charge. Friendly guys too. A+++ more

Honest Mechanics 6/23/2008

I found the guys at More Joy to be honest, efficient, and inexpensive. I don't think there can be a higher compliment about an Auto Mechanic than that. Pros: Honest. Inexpensive. Fast Cons: None more

Local and good 5/17/2008

Our experience at More Joy has been great. The guys are friendly and fast. They charge fair prices. Never had any problems with the job they do. We will continue to use them for our cars. more

Rip OFF! 4/25/2008

Had to bring my car back more than once for the same thing. I had to pay for it each and everytime. I don't expect to have free work done but I do expect to have the work done that I paid for, and paid a lot for. I have since stopped going there. All beware be sure you look at your bill and get everything in writing. Keep all your receipts and be sure you look at the parts they replace. If they cannot show you then most likely they did not replace them. I am so bitter and only wish I would have wised up sooner, it would have been a lot cheaper. Oh and doesn't this guy own another shop too? unsure but I would definately find out because that only gives him more opportunity to take advantage of a whole lot more people. more

Five out of Five Stars! 10/27/2007

These guys are truly awesome! I worked with Edwin and Cesar. Polite, to the point, they give you the facts as soon as they know them and give you options. I came to them knowing a little about cars and checking on my problem personally beforehand, and they validated my information and worked with me, ethically, efficiently and aboveboard. No being funny or condescending because I?m a woman, and that is worth a whole lot of confidence in a mechanic.\r \r They not only are straight with you, they are enthusiastic and happy when they can ?do the right thing!? The price was right in the ballpark of my expectations, which was a good fair price. They're nice guys who seem to love their work and it shows. I highly recommend these fellows to anyone, and the fact that they have loads of credentials and other people liking them makes your choice easier. If you are on the Westside, this is your place. Excellent, honest mechanics 8/22/2007

I was very happy to find More Joy Auto. They are trustworthy and honest: they will lay out for you exactly which repairs you need to do, what they will cost, and what issues or maintenance may be coming up in the future but aren't worth spending the money on now. They never push you to make repairs, but give you all the information you need to make your own choices. Pros: Honest, skilled, trustworthy, excellent service Cons: You pay more for the quality, but still less than at a dealership more

Positive Review 7/13/2006

Originally recommended to Joy Auto from another repair shop in SM that could not fix the problem on my car (kudos for their honesty). Joy automotive was able to complete the necessary repairs at a fair price (I researched comparison prices) and within a reasonable time frame. Having always owned used cars, I can appreciate that Joy Auto does not use 'inferior' (read: cheaper) parts. I've tried that route, and it always costs more in the long run. Since then we have returned to Joy with our other car and found the service to be polite and professional as well as accurate. Recommended, no reservations. PROS: Recommended by other mechanics. Nuff said. Manager, Ceasar, nice guy. CONS: Not the rock bottom cheapest, but no where near the most expensive. more

Honesty and Great Service 7/11/2005

More Joy is AAA certified and has plenty of ASE certificates on the walls (meaning that their mechanics are well-trained). When you drop off your car for repairs, they will give you a free ride to your destination, which is a great service. Also, you get a 10% discount if you are a member of AAA. However, while I used to think this was a great shop, I have come to think that they are overpriced and that they may not be honest. more

We have been going to Joy Automotive for many years now. They can deal with all cars and trust me we had many different ones over the years. They are honest and quick. I highly recommend this place. When you go ask for Ceasar. more
