Jones Boys Insulation

Called for an estimate. A guy came out within a few days, and said he'd have a estimate to me in a few days. I gave him my e-mail address, and a business card with the e-mail address. after about 4 weeks I called to see if they were going to give me an estimate. The woman on the phone seemed to be bothered that I called, and, of course, ""couldn't find me in the system"". She said I could call Dan and set up an appointment. I told her I was all set, and hung up. Not a very organized, professional or customer service oriented business. more

I recently hired Jones Boys to do the fiber glass insulation in my home my husband built. i did have probems with the scheduling department i think his name was Dan he was kind of rude over the phone when he scheduled the guys to be there on monday this was a big job and we needed the inspection by friday so the the sheet rockers could be in by friday afternoon anyways the guys showed up wednesday and i was not happy and dan said every thing but go f#%k yourself to me and i was not happy but we already paid the deposit so i told the installer ""Ryan"" the importance of this job being done by friday i wanted to call the office to send more guys but 'Ryan' assured me he would have the job completed on time honestly i was shocked at the work ethic this young man has he was all business while his partner ""tony"" was outside smoking or talking on his phone Ryan busted his butt he stayed late after his partner left for the day. you almost would have thought he was working on his own house he did a awesome job and it looked great he even took the time to fix his partners work. the job was done by friday am. i offered Ryan a tip for the excellent service but he refused it and said instead he wanted me to call his boss and tell him what a good job he had done which i did.So while i am giving the company a 5 star review its really 5 stars for Ryan. My advice request Ryan when scheduling your job and see for yourself. more

These guys were hired by a local contractor friend of mine b/c they were supposedly good. I took his word for it b/c he himself does great work. Well unfortunately they were horrible. I was originally told they would arrive on a Tuesday and it would be a one day job, we're now at the following Tuesday and the job still isn't done. After day one, showing up at noon, when they were supposed to be there at 8:30, I came home from work to find all the flowers around my house flattened. Part of the hedges were uprooted and on my front lawn. There were wood chips everywhere from the drilling, which wasn't that big of a deal, but there was also silver sheet shreds on my lawn. Next I find out they were blowing insulation at the front of my house and unknowingly it was going directly into my basement. They apparently drilled near the dead chimney in the front of the house and the insulation they were blowing in was going through that directly into the basement. I was told later that night that they thought it was taking a lot of insulation, so they figured they would look downstairs to make sure everything was ok. Well surprise, it wasn't. Thank goodness they cleaned up the majority of it before I got home from work. All the issues listed above have to do with the quality of the crew, but the one major issue I have with these guys, which completely grossed me out, was a comment my neighbor heard them make about taking an undergarment . Whether or not they were talking about mine is unknown, but either way this is sick! I spent that entire night washing everything in my bureau. The other major issue I have is that they have the reputation of being junkies. Again, if I knew about this before hand I never would have agreed to let them do the job, but I didn't. I am a local contractor and have used Jones boys in the past. This time it was like I was working with amatuers. I gave them a deposit for the job and was told they would call me with a start date and I didnt here from them for 2-3wks. The only way I heard from them was by me calling. Then they said they could do it on thursday or friday. I said fine just let me know a day in advance. I guess they thought I meant call me at 8am the day they were coming. They went to my customers house and were drilling there holes for the blown-in insulation. They caught a wire. So they had to fix that. Little did they know when they caught the wire it was attached to a plug on the other side of the wall and they started to blown the insulation.You guessed it,the inside of the house looked like a foot of snow. They called me to come let them in the house. I went to the house and opened the door . I was shocked to see how much covered the inside. I asked the installer how this happened , His response was , I started to fill the wall and it just seemed like it was taking a ton of insulation to fill this one cavity. Experience would say to stop and look. That isnt even the icing on the cake. I went into the master bedroom bathroom , and the shower wall was blown out. Tile was in the tub and so was the wall. You saw a hole in the house from were they drilled to blow-in insulation. There head honcho at the office shows up at one of my other jobs and says to me that they did us a favor by destroying the shower wall because it had mold in it. Can you believe it. I told him nobody's getting paid until this is fixed. We will see what happens. more
