the food was good but it did not justify the price in my opinion. in a city like miami there are tons of places to eat and therefore you dont haveto settle at all. the problem was that between a dinner entree and drink plus dessert your basically over your budget for the night. as a student i would never let anyone cajole me into taking me there or going there for dinner because its ridiculous when there are so many places in miami to get food even better than this for a reasonable price. the food is outrageously simple - i am not ranting - you haveto go there and see how insane it is to charge over $20 for some plain chicken grilled patty that you can pickup anywhere in miami with some drinks for <$10 more

Horrible experience! 4/4/2006

My husband & I went to John Martin's a few weeks ago for Sunday Brunch, and we'll never go back. The ONLY redeeming quality of the visit was the busser who took it upon himself to spend more time serving us than our own waiter. Our waiter was overwhelmed & we were one of the two tables he was responsible for. It took forever to get his attention to take our order, to ask if our food would be coming out after waiting 30 minutes for it (and it was not a complex order), and to bring our check. To add insult to injury, both the restaurant manager and owner walked by our table numerous times when it was obvious we needed something & neither offered any assistance. I'll never go back to John Martin's, not even for a beer with my co-workers! more
