Joe's Pro Painters

The late Paul Harvey had a very popular segment on his radio show called "The Rest of the Story." In it he would tell a story that seemed 100% accurate and then present facts which were simply ignored which painted a far different, and a more accurate portrayal. Without going into tremendous detail let me just say that the story BWerner presents is incomplete and inaccurate in many places. The customer was delighted with the job and that, to me is the most important aspect of any project. He's correct in saying I don't do the actual painting - you wouldn't want me to! I service far too many customers to be able to do the painting so I use a variety of professional painters, matching their skill sets to my customers' specific needs. He was paid in full for the job as per our signed agreement. The delay in the payment was completely outside my control for the reason he cites. He neglected to mention the many times I attempted to reach or meet him, the trouble he had with his help and the unreturned pieces of equipment and material which belonged to me. While I could go into more details, I simply want you to know that I take great pride in my work and have many, many satisfied customers. I worked as a subcontractor for Joe Doro and the essex Protect branch, and will not be making that mistake again. Joe is a nice enough guy, but he is not a painter, he just hires painters. We were told to just quickly sand siding that desperately needed serious scraping. This is a corner cutting procedure that will dramatically shorten the lifespan of any paint job, so I insisted on a full prep. process (which we were hardly compensated for). I was in the process of moving when Joe sent my check out, so it was not delievered and was 'returned to sender'. This was 2 weeks ago. After 10 days of begging on voicemails to get another check with NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER, I dont know what to do. I have employees to pay!!! We completed the job OVER A MONTH AGO!! I am filing a complaint with the BBB and will follow up with lawsuit if necessary. more

In the 26 years we have owned our home and have had professional exterior paint jobs done. The work done by Protect Painters of Vermont was by far the best. The estimate was right on mark. All areas of concern were addressed. The work of the paint crew was outstanding. The EPA Lead guidelines for homes older than 1978 were carefully followed. The clean up was amazing; there wasn't a paint chip to be found on the ground or the roof. Their price was extremely fair and less than what we had previously paid for exterior paint jobs that did not match their quality of work. Protect Painters of Vermont is a company well worth noting.
