I had my first appointment yesterday in Winter Park and was throughly disgusted with the condition of this clinic. Everything is old, musty smelling and dirty. The exam table was an old wooden table that was all beat up and dirty looking. I wouldn't trust getting an injection here because I would question anything being sterile. I'm in my late 60's and have never been to such an awful medical facility. Neither my husband nor myself have ever even seen a wooden exam table let alone one so awful looking. I did have an X-ray and the X-ray table was just a cold hard steel table, no pad or covering at all not even paper. I wanted a disc or films of my X-ray and was told all they could give me was a piece of printer paper with the image printed on it. more

Salesman! You will not see a doctor but a NP\r I have used Jewett for 10 years but upon needing to see them for a broken tendon wow what sales people, told me I needed a an air boot $500, but we will sell it for $250, goes for 89 on amazon, but it was the nurse and NP that kept on about the boot, I am in sales and so is my wife we smelled sales!!! Sales Sales,,,,,,poor that you can go from truly caring to get a perk or meeting a sales quota, the real Jewett has been good but the walk in you need to be careful! more

The most unprofessional medical establishment I've ever encountered. I made an appointment for to see an orthopedic surgeon. The soonest available appointment they had was a month away. So, I had no choice but to wait even though I was in dire need of an orthopedic dr. A few days before the appointment they called me to tell me they had to reschedule the appt. I told them I had been waiting nearly a month for this appt so could they make the next appt as soon as possible. Well they made it for the following month. Then again they called a week before my appt to let me know this one had to be rescheduled again and the dr wouldn't be able to see me for 6 more weeks! Unbelievable and unacceptable! And the customer service agents you speak with know nothing about customer service! Don't waste your time on this sorry excuse for a medical facility. more

Couldn't be happier than the care I received from Jewett 9/6/2011

I am a ballroom dancer, and taking care of my feet is very important to me. I had a multi-faceted foot injury that I dealt with for four years. I sought care at another orthopaedic doctor's office, and each time I went, I was given a different course of action, but none that was acceptable to me. That doctor discouraged surgery, saying that I would never walk properly again, and would definitely not dance again. After my boss was treated at Jewett for a nasty wrist fracture, and seeing his extremely high level of patient satisfaction, I visited them for a consultation about my foot. Dr. John Papa was kind, patient, and extremely thorough with me, and gave me information that I could understand. He reviewed my x-rays with me in detail, and shared his extensive knowledge. Together we decided on a course of surgery that I felt comfortable with. I'm happy to say that six weeks later, I was the belle of the ball! I am now walking pain free, and dancing up a storm! I am sorry I didn't see him sooner. Thank you, Dr. Papa and staff at Jewett! more

Dissatisfied Patient 5/6/2011

To start with I was taken back to the point I was blown away by the bedside manor that Dr, McCutcheon had. Mr. Patterson and I (his care giver) visited the office of Dr. McCutcheon in search of help. Mr. Patterson was to see this Doctor for the first time for a hip replacement. I couldn?t believe the way the doctor talked to us or more or less talked down to us. I and Mr. Patterson know all to well the extensive health issues and we were assured by the Doctors staff before going in for the consultation the Doctor was fully briefed as well, and knowing full well the surgery would be very risky for Mr. Patterson who is in so much pain would sign waivers so that nobody would be responsible (this was expressed). So, think of it if something were to go wrong. Mr. Patterson?s pain is so great he is willing to risk it all and holds no one at fault; he needs help so much that he decided that the risk of surgery would be better than going through life with all this pain. The doctor went on to say that no good doctor would operate on this man. The doctor also went on to say that the only thing that he would recommend is a pain management doctor. Then the doctor proceeded to tell him that he was a 66 years old and looked 86. What kind of professional would act so non compassionate with the patient sitting there looking to this man for help. I thought doctors were supposed to be there for the patient whatever the condition, the way we perceived this consultation from this doctor was to put this person back in a wheel chair and drug him up until the good lord comes to take him. more

The WORST medical and billing staff in Orlando!!! 12/29/2010

The billing staff is rude and unwilling to assist, especially the billing Manager Kim Whitehead. I received a bill in excess of $350 for a office visit that should have only been a $30 co-pay. They also said I received services that were never given and I was therefore charged. The billing manager showed a complete lack of professionalism and actually yelled at me during our phone conversation. I would rather duct tape a broken bone back together, than give these people a dime! The absolute most rude billing staff with worst service customer service I have ever seen. more

Hip Replacement 10/4/2010

I should have had my hips replaced years ago. I was told by a doctor in Celebration that I needed to wait until I couldn't stand the pain anymore. It was rediculous...I'm 50, I wanted to live again. I saw Dr. Morris and after having my right hip done, I am ready to face the second hip surgery...life is so different when you are not in pain! more

I went to Jewett and they always treated me with no respect. The Doctors would never pay attention to what I was saying or didn't want to hear me out. The staff are there seeming to hate what they do. They don't even try. Worst place to go for your medical treatment. Be aware! Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything. Specially the staff. more

Mixed Bag Of Service 6/12/2009

I have been seeking treatment at Jewett for 2 months. The doctor is OK, although he doesn't seem engaged when I am discussing my symptoms, so I feel like he is not hearing what I have to say. I was sent for physical therapy at the Sandlake Commons office, which is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. The PTs are fantastic there. However, the MRI office on Orange Ave is a nightmare. It took over a week to get an appointment (the last time I had an MRI, at Sandlake Imaging, I got an appointment in a couple of days), and I had to wait a long time in the office. The woman giving the MRI was very rude. My other issue is that it takes a long time to get appointments with the doctors, as well. My follow-up appointment for my MRI was over a week later. This seems excessive to me when I was in pain, and wanted to know what was wrong. I also scheduled it far in advance. I would not recommend Jewett. I had a better experience at Orlando Orthopaedic Center. Pros: Physical Therapy at Sandlake Commons Excellent Cons: MRI Facility Staff Nasty, Takes FOREVER to get appointment more

Great place, Great. 6/2/2009

I've been reading these reviews on Jewett and everyone saying they're horrible and to avoid them. I've been going there since I was a child, I'm 21 now. I've had 2 surgeries there. It was always a pleasure to go there. I have NOTHING bad to say about them. They were very informative, telling me what was wrong, showing me on the MRI and x-rays. Discussing my different treatment options. I would recommend ANYONE to go there. Pros: Friendly, Informative, Not all 'doc' talk Cons: Don't have anything bad to say. more

Most clossed minded doctor I have ever seen! 9/6/2007

Do not go there if you can avoid it! My son went to Centra Care last night was told that he broke his foot, we go to see Dr. Fenichel this morning and says that my son just is trying to get attention. Both my children who have seen him have gotten the same response since they have a very rare infectious disease that he does not believe exists, even though they have tested positive over 5 times! He was very rude and disrespectful to me and my children. I would never recomend this doctor to anyone. Cons: Rude staff and doctors, long wait times and very disrespectful to me and my child more
