I am a ballroom dancer, and taking care of my feet is very important to me. I had a multi-faceted foot injury that I dealt with for four years. I sought care at another orthopaedic doctor's office, and each time I went, I was given a different course of action, but none that was acceptable to me. That doctor discouraged surgery, saying that I would never walk properly again, and would definitely not dance again. After my boss was treated at Jewett for a nasty wrist fracture, and seeing his extremely high level of patient satisfaction, I visited them for a consultation about my foot. Dr. John Papa was kind, patient, and extremely thorough with me, and gave me information that I could understand. He reviewed my x-rays with me in detail, and shared his extensive knowledge. Together we decided on a course of surgery that I felt comfortable with. I'm happy to say that six weeks later, I was the belle of the ball! I am now walking pain free, and dancing up a storm! I am sorry I didn't see him sooner. Thank you, Dr. Papa and staff at Jewett!
