Lorenzo and his team are the best. We have purchased jewelry and watches and remain totally satisfied. Anytime we need an item repaired, they're the only place we go. They always find a way to fix our problem and stand behind their work. We recommend them to all our friends. more

My sterling earring snapped after placing in my purse after a haircut...I had gotten it in St. Croix, USVI. I was extremely upset. My husband noticed on the information directory there was a jewelry repair shop. So, off we went. I have to say I didn't expect much. But after looking at it they quoted us $6 to fix it in an hour. Sold! Will definitely return. We were pleased with the quality of work and service there. Would highly recommend!!! more

I have done business with Lorenzo and his team several times while visiting Carolina Place Mall. Their advice is always consultative (I thought my wife's watch needed a new battery...it just needed a bit of TLC and they did this free of charge as opposed to ""selling"" me a battery that I did not need) as well as professional. I recently had the crystal on a Fossil replaced. The crystal was so thick, they didn't stock it and had to order it for me. It came in within the promised time frame and I received a voicemail letting me know my watch was ready for pickup. Kudos to the team...I am a customer for life! more

I LOVE this place just as much as I LOVE my jewelry ! There is always smiling faces and knowledge about products and repair! I'm a former resident of Charlotte, NC in which this is how I know about The Jewelry & Watch Doctor however I have moved to Augusta,GA (2 1/2 drive) and have and always will stay a loyal customer when it comes down to any type of jewelry repair work! I feel as I spend too much money on my jewelry not to have it in the hands of the BEST ! ! ! I went in wanting to consign a Jaeger LeCoultre watch. The employee at the counter thought it was a 300.00 watch. How can he not know this is an expensive watch working in a watch store?? So, I asked for the owner to call me about what would be a good figure to sale for. 2 days pass and no call even after I phoned and questioned if he could call me referencing the watch I left. I finally went back to get the watch and the guy helping me basically ripped up my paperwork and threw it in the trash when I picked up the watch and said ""No hard feelings on my end...."" No explanation, no apology, etc. Would never do business with...Customer service and knowledge of associates less than stellar more

Fair and Honest Business 4/29/2011

I have done business with the Jewelry & Watch Doctor for over ten years. During this time, I have purchased, restored, and sold jewelry without any problems. The owner, Lorenzo, has always been reasonable, fair, and knowledgeable about jewelry costs and repairs. I have sent several customers to this business over the years and all have been pleased with their work and customer service. I trusted this business with a ruby watch that is over 60 years old to repair the band and fix the stem. It is rare to find a businessman that you can trust but I have found that with Lorenzo and his employees at the Jewelry and Watch Doctor. I will certainly do business with them again and appreciate their efforts and honesty and I highly recommend them as a reputable business. more

great repair prices!!! 4/26/2011

talk about a hidden gem...the Jewelry and Watch Doctor ppl are amazing. i got engaged this Easter with a beautiful engagement ring! but i guess my fiance guessed my finger size wrong :( All the excitement of my new diamond ring quickly faded when i realized i couldnt even wear it. Went to the mall first thing monday morning to get it sized...but the jewelry stores and dept stores said it would take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks! But thankfully i found the Jewelry and Watch Dr. not only was their PRICES LOWER, but they sized my ring in ONE HOUR!!!! now im back to being the happiest girl in the world, sporting my new engagement ring. Thanks Jewelry and Watch Doctor!!!! more

Fair and Honest People in Hard Times 4/24/2011

About two months ago I brought my husbands quite expensive watch to have a battery which i had previously taken to another jewelry store. The other store told me after 20 minutes of trying to change the battery it wasn't working they had to send it away to get an estimate and it would take up to 1 month, I did so and heard back in a month and a half that it was going to cost almost as much as the watch. My brother told me of his great experience at the watch dr. so i went and they noticed an improperly installed battery the fixed this minor problem at no cost to me and informed me of all the other repairs they do on jewelry and watches amazingly on sight. very disappointed 4/21/2011

I have used these people for at least 2 years. I took a gold Kugeran to turn into cash. They gave me a check for a reasonable amount and told me to go to Wachovia across the street for cash. But since I was passing my own bank I deposited it. The check bounced and charged my account $8. When I took the cancelled check to Wachovia they ran it again and charged me $5. I have a watch that needs repair, I WILL NEVER, EVER return to this business establishment again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone else and I will write this message in the Sun City News that these people are not trustworthy. They do owe me $13 but I won't go there to request this as I never want to see them again! more

THESE GUYS CANNOT GET IT RIGHT! 3/9/2011

Left a watch for repair. They called me 2 times with estimated cost which I approved 2 times. Weeks go by so I check back with them. They state they called me on ""x"" date and never heard back from me, so nothing had been done. more

It is rare to find an honest business these days! 3/30/2010

I took my wife's Fossil watch (a gift from her aunt) in for repair. They estimated the cost of repairing the winding stem (broken) and replacing the crystal (scratched) and the cost seemed reasonable and fair. After the two weeks they needed for the repair I called them and they regretted to inform me that they had broken the band mounting ear off of the case in the process of the repair. I went in to the shop and talked with Lorenzo Caputo and he explained what had happened. Things like this happen in the repair business... but what is rare is when people step up and make it right! I am very satisfied with the resolution and will continue to give him my business along with recommending him highly. Pros: Customer satisfaction more

It hasn't been all good... 7/30/2008

I have done much business with them in the past and was very satisfied with their services. However, a recent event has forced me to consider them in a far different, and negative way. After purchasing a $600 watch from them I put money down ($50) on one of their vintage watches in the display case. They put the watch aside for me and I came back in about a week to pay off the remainder of the agreed total purchase price of $400. At that point they told me the watch wasn't running right and they would fix it. I thought, sure, makes sense they would get it running right before selling it to me, and I'm all for that. Well, it has been over a month now and still no watch. more

Best Jewelry Repair 1/16/2008

I have been going to the Watch Doctor for four years now and have to say have never been disappointed in their service or pricing. They take time and genuinely care about their customers. It is a wonderful environment and am thrilled to have found them. Plus they not only take care of watches but have designed beautiful pieces from old gold that I have brought in or redesigned an old piece for me as well. I can only highly recommend them. Great service and fine selection of merchandise 11/15/2007

The staff at The Jewelry and Watch Doctor work hard to give each customer indiviual attention and meet their individual needs. They have a fine selection of both new and estate pieces and their prices for service are more than fair. Sometimes a repair will not make sense for financial reasons but the customer wants it done for sentimental reasons. The staff at this shop treat it as being just as important as working on a Rolex.
