Hey Smith 1. It sounds like you are Charlie from Sound Trax/Jazz and can't handle the truth!!! Dude, Charlie from Sound Trax/Jazz is a crook. I've known Mike for a long time and he is the best. And by the way, I know for a fact that Mike WAS NOT fired. He left Jazz because the owner treats his employees like crap and cares more about bagels these days then his audio customers. more

it sounds to me like charlie b was sitting on mikes lap when he wrote that review charlie worked at sound trax for ten years and he was lennys best guy plus mike was fired from jazz audio he will wreck aveune sounds just like he started to wreck jazz plus has the dyamic duo now (scott and charlie) so good luck with your wedding to mike more

I'm reading these comments and laughing because everyone that knows Jazz knows Mike was the backbone of that place. Charlie's reputation is baddddddd!!!! Jazz was scraping the bottom of the barrell when hiring Charlie - they were desperate because Mike left. Mike is at Avenue Sound in Patchogue...go there! Don't go to Jazz!!! more

Jazz Audio SUCKS!!!!! Stay away from this place. While I was there, the bald dude that hides in the back was screaming at a customer and calling him names I wouldn't want my mother to hear! What a jerk. Anyone that talks like that to a customer, IS NOT getting my money! According to this customer the owner tried to install a used product!!! These guys are THEIVES!!!! more

This place is great!! I know that the manager Mike was horrible, and Im soo glad to see that hes no longer there. The new guy there Charlie was respectful, honest, and really hooked me up with an awesome deal, a lot less than the other places i shopped around at. The install was done in a timely fashion and looks and sounds great! Sooo happy to see they really got their act together! The new store is really nice too!! more

I should have read some of these reviews before I put out so much money at this place. I had an installation of a radio (seemed easy enough) speakers, and a backup camera. I was told I was getting the best equipment, and a great deal. I figured I was paying more than I should have, but the guy (Mike) tells me his guys are the best\r \r Wires are hanging out of the back of the radio, and down by the brake peddles. I didn't notice this right away, only the next day ... since I didn't pick my vehicle up until evening.\r \r I tell 'Mike', and he tells me it must have always been there ... and he'd be happy to fix it for basic installation fee (after I already spent about a grand)\r \r 2 weeks later, the radio stops working ... I call 'Mike' and he tells me it must be something I did ..\r \r Well Mike, see you in small claims\r \r Read the other real reviews, and be aware of these guys.\r more

I used to be an installer at this location ... trust me, this place is a rip off. Go 2 miles up the road to Sound Trax, you'll likely deal with a more reputable place. Oh by the way,the guy in the front 'Mike' ...he's the owner, don't believe him when he tells you different more

OMG! Did anyone REALLY read this perosn Jessica's review? I had to jump in and defend these guys. I was coming out of my skin. I've been coming to Jazz since I was 18. I know the installers (all great guys working there forever) \r So, this lady brings in HER own equipment from God knows where... asks Jazz to install her garbage and then complanis that the wires weren't hidden and the DVD's weren't playing together. Did she ever tell the sales guy she wanted them to play together? Let's get all the facts here. \r On top of it she asks the installer to ""show her how to use HER OWN EQUIPMENT. hahaha That's what the manual is for but people these days are just too lazy to actually sit down and read it. (Did she even HAVE a manual?) And for the cruel reference made to the installer with that was missing 2 teeth... you know, man that ""looked like he was picked up on the corner"" who are you to pass judgement? Are you a perfect 10? I definitely don't think so. I would love to see what this woman looks like. I know the installer she is talking about...this installer did several of my installations for my whole family. He does has over 30 years experience and happens to be a lovely man. He has a bed ridden wife whom he takes care of in between a working a full time job. The hospital bills take most of his salary. I'm sure he would LOVE to get his two missing teeth replaced but I'm guessing he would rather spend the money keeping his wife alive. I don't know, what do you think? Be fore warned if you choose to go here. Mike the ""manager"" is great over the phone. I called an hour before I went in and the price changed within the hour. I have dual headrest DVD players ""installed"". This disgusting place took advantage of me because I was there with my 2 small children. He quoted me one price. WHen I got there with my own equipment the price jumped $100. He said it was because they were the ""big"" ones and claimed I never told him. Interesting because he actually got me a price several days before on the identical equipment. The installation was appalling. When the car was done I was loading my children into their car seats and asked if they could show me how to work it. What a joke!!! The installer (a man with no teeth that looked like he was picked up on the corner) had no idea other than to turn it on. The units were supposed to play individual movies or the same. They did not hook up the wire to allow my children to see the same movie. When I asked for mike he actually had the audacity to tell me ""you didn't tell me you wanted them to work that way"" Are you kidding!!!!!!! Of course I did. Either way why should I have to tell him that! He is the so called professional. He told me to come back another time after being there 3 hours already. When I got home I inspected the car further only to find huge clump of wires on the floor toward the back of the drivers seat. They was also a wire on the floor going from the drivers seat to the passenger seat. When I called about the wires within an hour of returning home I Mike said""well if you wanted the wires hidden, I would have had to cut the carpet. Did you want me to do that?"" My answer was yes I wanted them installed! Interesting that the carpets never needed to be cut. He just did a bad job. (I have pictures to prove this terrible work) The amazing thing is when my husband got home from work. my son (6 years old) proceeded to tell him that the man at the dvd store yelled at mommy. Nice right. Note that i am not a pushover and had my boys not been there he would have heard a lot more. This place is a disgusting business that preys on women being nieve or so they think. I kept telling Mike that I am not who he thinks I am. I am a highly educated woman who will not be taken advantage of. I have pictures to prove this horrible installation and would be happy to send them to anyone that wants to see them. This place should not be allowed to be in business. I believe that if my husband had taken the car in it would have been done correctly. In addition, If I had bought the dvd player from him he would have done it right. I took the car to another place and they fixed the issues in under 30 min. Can you believe it was just one wire that should have been connected? They could have hooked them up and hid the wires. I believe that ""Mike"" told the installer with 30 years experience (yeah right) to do a fast job. It could have and should have been done right without any issues. I would never go back and will shout from the rooftops to anyone that will listen that this place sucks!!! If you choose to go there do so at your own risk. Lesson learned for me. more

Had a remote start and electric door locks installed. \r They were fast, did a great job, answered all my questions. Mike was very helpful. I would go there again if I need anything else done. \r Thank you Jazz Audio!!! more

Just had a remote start and a radio / speakers done. They are excellent and work fantastic!! Mike was very helpful and took the time to explain evertything to me.\r My system sounds AWESOME and the remote start works great. Installers took the time to show me how everything works. I wish i could put zero stars. At first this place seemed too good to be true. The dude Mike is a prick. He puts on a nice front so that he can get business but dont buy from this place, or have them install your equipment. I bought an alpine stereo here and had them install it in my girlfriends mustang and they used electrical tape, and when i asked him if they used solder he didnt even know what it was!! In addition to the crummy radio install he put a dash kit for an additional 50$ (piece retails online for less then 10$) Well this piece broke twice, and she went down there to have them fix or replace it (they used a hot glue gun to try and glue it to the dash of the car) and of course it broke again. So we give Mike a call and first thing is he denies it and starts yelling/arguing with us. He states he will not refund us our money, or fix the piece until Jan. We are leaving back to Cali today and it sucks that he wouldn't help us. And he stated he was not the owner and he was just a manager that couldnt refund us; and his last name was Jazz? Save yourself the headache and dont buy from this place. more

I wanted to replace my radio with a new alpine model with ipod controls. I went to the big box stores hoping to get a deal. I was told by 2 stores that the radio in my jeep has an amplifier and that they did not have the hardware to make it work properly .I then heard about jazz audio from my classmate and had a conversation with Mike in sales. A employee looked at my jeep and the employee gave me different options on where I would like my ipod and how I would fill the hole in my dash from the old radio and he also noted that I had a speaker out. They had all parts in stock and even replaced all four speakers .My truck sounds great and the price was much lower then the other places quoted me. I arrived to pick up my jeep and was greeted by Tim. He showed me the functions on the radio and how to use them. I love the service so much I came back the following week and had an auto start added. I would like to thank Mike, Tim and Jazz Audio for keeping me warm in the morning and providing me with an awesome stereo. Roger B. Pros: Did an amazing job,Friendly staff.
