Good ice cream, lots of choices. A tad pricey, as more families could come if they could afford to get the whole family ice cream. All in all, good experience!

Worst

I grew up with Jacksons and it has always been a treat to go and have ice-cream there. I moved out of State and 20 years later came back and had to have some Jacksons ice-cream. ...

Way overpriced !!! 9/30/2010

Came with great expectations and ended up kind of dissapointed.The hamburgers were very plain for the price, they didn't even come with fries, for that price at least should be tasty. The ice cream is just ok, not extraordinary like everyone says. Definitely not coming back. more

Absolutely the best place for Ice cream. On my last visit to FL, I took my grand kids, for the youngest 5th birthday - and they loved it! Definitely a great place to visit if you love love deserts! more

I will NEVER ever go to Jaxsons again. I asked to sample a flavor, they said no samples... So I got banana berry ice cream and it was not good. I asked to exchange it and they said, NO EXCHANGES. So I asked for the manager who rudely said, no taste test and no exchanges, thats our policy. If you dont like banana ice cream then dont get banana icecream!" I said, "wow, all i am asking for is to exchange it for something that I will like and you just lost a great customer!" The manager said, "Thats what everyone says when their mad, we dont care. We have plenty of customers and we dont care if we lose you. Goodbye and leave!"\r \r Never have i been treated so poorly. This place is run by terrible hearted people!!! more

What a great ice cream place! The staff was very friendly and it's a really cool atmosphere. They bring popcorn to your table while you're waiting for your order!\r \r We had a hot fudge sundae with a cookie on the bottom and it was very good. The ice cream was awesome and it was covered with about 6 inches of whipped cream and the hot fudge was great too. The cookie was a little hard (probably because it had to support all the ice cream) but I'd definitely love to go back and try some more different things. more

Wel worth the wait! 3/28/2010

How could anybody not like Jaxsons? I remember coming here as a young girl with my girl scout troop and loving it ever since! They have the best hot dogs there I have ever had and how can you not love a place that serves you fresh popcorn as soon as you sit down? They also make their own soda which is another plus. Their ice cream is tops and I love all the different kinds of candy they carry. It's a great place to take out of town visitors and for locals alike! Pros: Hot dogs and ice cream Cons: Can be quite a long wait more

The owner's daughter cut the whole line. When approached by me, the brat laughed in my face. Even the ice cream scooper sided with her. Has this place lost their mind? We, the public, pay their bills! Cons: Poor Service more

The best home made ice cream you can have bought at a place, besides making it at home. This ice cream is sooooo good and this restaurant offers a good variety. Their food is good as well. Try the tub of ice cream! Great fun and unforgettable experience! more

The potions here are HUGE! That's no overstatment. Take a shot of insulin with you for after, you'll need it. My prefernce is to order from the outdoor window. Sizes of ice creams sundaes are more "reasonable" on the outside. Great place for kids, and family. more

Very Expensive and very crowded place 7/11/2009

This place is so expensive for the kind of food they have. Nothing special in the menu that worth the price. They serve too much, that's true. We order some brownie with ice cream for $16 and it was huge but if you share you must pay $1 for e/a. We ended up paying like $20 for some ice cream dessert for the three of us and it was not such a unique thing. The place was very crowded, not too much space between the tables, the people who serve you are not nice, most of the kids machines in the outside doesn't work and the location of the place is not very good. In other words, if you live near by, its ok to get an ice cream in the outside but if you live far away it doesn't worth the trip. Cons: waitress not so nice, very crowd place and expensive more

Best Ice Cream in South Florida! 6/21/2009

I drive up from Miami just to have some of this deliciously, creamy, smooth and bursting with flavor Ice Cream! They never disappoint and the quality is always consistent. I thoroughly enjoy spending my money in businesses that showcase happy people having a great down to earth time celebrating the simplicity of life. Jaxson's Ice Cream has been a staple of True South Florida Culture for over 50 years. I just discovered them only 5 years ago and I am hooked. I have brought everyone from children, teens, North East visitors, Hispanics, blacks, college students, etc. Everyone always returns because they feel welcomed in addition to enjoying a remarkably full flavored ice cream made with genuine ingredients without cutting corners. Jaxon's Ice Cream is hands down the best!!! There are other great Ice Cream Parlors in South Florida including some really tasty Gelato places, but none come close to the genuineness of American Culture and a finely created American treat under one roof. Drive over to Jaxson's and enjoy American Life at its Best. Pros: Ice Cream, Family Atmosphere, Down To Earth Cons: Haven't Found Any more

This place has been around forever! It's a staple that I bring everyone to from out of town on a hot night. The lines are long because its worth it. Portions compare to Godzilla and King Kong- so you may have to share! more
