Japanese Steak House

We have been here several times for celebratory events, whether it be a friend's or a bachlotette party. The food is always good and the a delight--a guaranteed good time! Some slight downsides is that you are seated at a large table , so if your group is small, you'll be seated with other people. Also, the food is cooked right at your table, which is very exciting --the chefs are definitely entertaining, but you do feel slightly greasy afterword. I always have a film on my face and glasses when I leave. If you go for a birthday, be sure to request the birthday song. The little old Japanese man comes out and gets everyone to play instuments and sings--it quite a spectacle! more

Japanese Steakhouse is a great place to go for good food and entertainment. I recommend that you bring a larger group so you're all sitting together at one grill, but going as a couple can be fun if you're not shy about talking to the people around you. I think the food is very good, but I have been to several japanese steakhouses in south carolina, and I have to say this isn't my overall favorite. It really depends on the steakhouse, but I prefer some of the dipping sauces and fried rice option (no extra charge at my fav, but you'll get one at JS) of others over this one, although it is still excellent. The cooks are always fun and entertaining, and if you don't mind spending a bit more cash than usual, this is your place. more

This is absolutely my favorite place to eat in Columbus. I used to even joke in college I would marry this place if a human could be tied to a restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you know you are in for a treat. This is a pricey place to eat, however, for special occasions, it is totally worth it! Expect GREAT service and delicious food. You will be seated at a large table sized grill (some require you take your shoes off) and the chef will cook your meal in front of you. Food and entertainment all in one! They also have a full bar and a sushi bar. Included in dinner is soup, salad, shrip appetizer, meal, and choice of pineapple sherbert or vanilla ice cream for dessert. For a special treat, and a few dollars more, the "Japanses Papaw" will come out and sing to you, complete with instruments to play, a coandle to blow out, pineapple, and a picture. more
