Janice's Critter Care

We have used Janice's Critter Care for several years now and have never been disappointed. We were referred to them by our previous pet sitter, when she was leaving the area. They arrive when needed -- feeding, walking and taking care of both dogs and the cat, as well as giving medications as needed. I highly recommend them! more

Janice has been watching our dogs (and cats) for the past 17 years. The pets have changed, but the care and concern have remained the same. She give meds, hugs, pets, walks and clean-up as needed while we relax knowing that our ""kids""are well taken care of. I highly recommend Janice's Critter Care. more

I used Janice's Critter Care over a 5 day holiday. I called around different places on short notice, many places I had to leave messages for and took FOREVER and a day to call me back, Janice was one of the few who actually answered right away :) and of course everyone else and even she seemed booked but she took me in last minute :) which was nice. She will come to your home and meet with you and your pets, which is nice because I could see how they would interact with her and they did like her very much. Also I could meet her and get an idea of the person that she is. she was really nice and offered to feed my 5 frogs while I was away, I could tell she had no intention of charging me for that but I had ways of keeping them fed so I declined. she also offered to pick up my mail :)!I have two cats that fight when I am not around so i have to keep them separated when i am not in the house. she understood this and it was nice to see when I got back that she had kept them separated in dif more

I left different cans and treats out for her to give to the cats if she wanted to and it was nice to see that she had given them the cans and treats while I was away. I also liked that I could call her and ask how the kitties are doing while I was away. I definitely feel comfortable using Janice's services again and will be doing so in the future since they seemed to genuinely care about me and my pets :). more

Would absolutely not recommend. Was gone for 3 days, scheduled care for my cats to clean the boxes and check food and water on day 2. They did not show up, got home, cat boxes overflowing, no food, and very little water left. Janice's reply was a glib ""operator error"", seemed very insincere. Would never recommend or use again. more

I use Janices homecare service for my pets when I'm away. My toy dogs are in their own home with all their favorite things- NO kennel cough-No stress and NO being kenneled next to big dogs! They LOVE it! My house is watched, mail picked up, plants watered and happy puppies!! Thanks Janice and all her caring staff!! more

I've been taking my dog to Janice's Critter Care Dog Daycare for about 6 years now and think that it is great. My dog is always excited to get there in there in the morning when I drop him off; and just as excited to go home with me when I pick him up. I find the staff very dog knowledgeable and they have helped me with some minor behavior problems he has had. The best thing I like is when we get home my dog is tired from playing all day and is ready to relax with me and watch the tube before bed. Thanks Janice more

I took my dog there once because I had a really long day at work and received a coupon in the mail for the dog sitting service and thought I would give it a try. The employees didn't seem to happy when we arrived and that should have been my first clue, but I really needed to go to work. The set up didn't seem too dog friendly and my dog was very happy to see me when I came to pick her up. From now on I'll rather leave her in the yard all day instead of taking her there. more

Janice's advertises that they are the oldest pet-sitting service in the area. It must be tgrue, as the sentiment even carries over to the employees, who seem generally tired of their jobs. The atmosphere of the place is sterile (it is located in a business park) and you don't get the impression that the owners or workers are dog lovers. The rates are not cheap and are slightly above the average for the area. I left my dog there for a day and he was happy to come home, which is unusual for my dog. He is normally the first to go off with strangers. more
