I finally decided to review this business after my second bad experience with them. The first was when they replaced the metal ""shank"" in a pair of shoes for me. It was very expensive ($45 I believe) and the shank they put in did not make the shoe wearable again as the heel still wiggled all over when I walked. The second bad experience is when I just called to ask the price to replace the plastic tip of a woman's heel. I specified that they were just basic stiletto heels and she refused to give me an estimate. She just kept saying ""show me, show me"". I explained again the very BASIC standard heel, smallest stiletto and she was very rude and refused to give me any type of information. This was not a difficult request and she was VERY unhelpful...just wanted to get me to drive there so she could look at it. Why? It's an everyday, easy repair. I would NOT recommend spending your money here as the work quality is poor and their attitude is bad. Thanks for reading and hope this saves you from a bad experience! more

Too expensive 7/26/2007

So I've been to a few cobblers in my life and this one takes the cake. I understand that you want a GOOD cobbler but be fair about pricing. When I first went I thought that the price was what I asked. Second time they charged me $18.00 for snaps, kay I thought this is steep but I needed the shoes asap. This time I got black pumps resoled and a touch up on a gold pair of pumps. Total cost $78.00! Gold shoes re dyed, not what I wanted and come on $54 to resole? That's usually $20-$30 at other places. I been to MANY cobblers but that was TOO much for what it is. I will say they do a good job but they charge too much. Lesson...ask the cost of services before you get the sticker shock. Pros: Does a good job Cons: Is way too expesive for the simplest services. more
