James Joseph Salon

I went to this place for my wedding. I tried different places and I couldn't convince myself to go to those places. One week before my wedding I decided to go to James Joseph Salon. I usually go there for my haircut. Although I didn't have trial session, Mary did a great job. I showed her a sample picture that I liked. She is quite a professional. She did exactly what I had in mind except much more better. She did a wonderful job. I had a lot of stress on my wedding day, I was worried about my hair style. But as soon as she held a mirror to show my hair, my mouth felt open, I hugged her. I heard a lot of compliment in my wedding, and although I'm a picky person, every time I look at my photos, I feel so happy that I had my hair done with Mary. I just want to thank her. more

This is just plain pathetic, as I said above. I moved out here about 3 years ago and still haven't found a salon I like, I fly to california for my old stylist. I asked a friend to recommend me a salon, her hair was AMAZING!!! (no she did not go here) She told me the place she went to didn't work out so great for other reasons, but that her friend recommended James Joseph Salon and to ask for one of two stylists. I thought the friend was being kind, but it is clear to me now, that it is of the upmost importance to ask for one of these two stylists. It has become abundantly clear to me that everyone else here is incompetent. Has it occurred to anyone that this site has (when I am writing this) around 90 reviews, and out of them, 30 (THAT IS A THIRD!!!!!!) of the reviews were below 5 stars? Not only that but most are even 3 stars or below. Have you read the owner responses? it is clear he wants to to seem concerned to us, his unwitting victims. But, notice that he didn't respond to a single bad review with a solution. All of his responses, are ""that shouldn't happen here"" ""that is unacceptable"" or my favorite, ""call me directly, to see if we can work something out"" which is completely non-commital to solving the problem at all. I mean really? $300 for anything short of the best haircut of your life, should include the blow dry. I pay premium prices all the time, but I will tell you that no self-respecting, trustworthy, decent or capable salon denies the client a blow dry. Even, as another reviewer noted, supercut blow dries your hair for free. This is a sham and pathetic excuse for a salon, let alone a pricy one. YOU SHOULD NEVER COME HERE!!!!!! FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER!!!!!! However, that said: I have never been duped by this particular salon, my review is purely based upon the website, reviews from customers and responses from the owner. I however think, that given the appalling reviews and responsibility of the owner, this is plenty. Pros: um.....recommended by a friend? Cons: everything else more

If you are going to get the Brazilian Keratin treatment, why don't you get it from a Brazilian professional!? Cristina literally changed my life! My hair was dry, frizzy and boring. Before I met Cristina I was very against having any chemical applied to my hair. Well... after a few highlights, a haircut and an informative chat with her I felt comfortable enough to have the Brazilian Keratin done to my hair. WOW!!! My hair has never never never felt or looked this shiny, soft and bouncy before. Not only that, it only takes a few minutes to look good in the morning. The result was incredible! I am the reigning Miss Teen United States-World and I am constantly in the spotlight. My hair is always being damaged from being straightened and curled. The James Joseph Salon graciously sponsored me throughout my reign with my main stylist as Christina. All I can say is she is amazing! I have never had a stylist be able to blend me layers as well as she does. The cut made my hair look so much healthier and it didn't have the choppy layers most artists give you. She also highlighted my hair, this was sort of a spur of the moment decision but I am so glad I got them! They look awesome and spice up my hair so much! Too top it off she is a total sweetheart and keeps you satisfied! I highly recommend going to Christina!! more

HOT HOT HOT! LITERALLY! So, I burnt a very large section of the back of my hair. I thought for sure I was doomed as I sheepishly walked through the door to go see Cristina?. I can not even tell you how grateful I am to have such an expert stylist. I walked out of James Joseph Salon that day much different than I walked in. I can?t even believe the cut. It is amazing. You would never know that I had a ?whoops? and that?s not the first time she has fixed one of my self inflicted ?WHOOPS?. The color is always perfect and her cuts always exceed my expectations. I actually even have some of her cards in my wallet because I got tired of trying to explain to people where I get my hair done! Cristina ? It was my first time, I read good and bad reviews but decided to check it for myself. My appt. was with Erica, she seemed nice as well as her assistant, but she left me with the same color nothing new nothing great same brownish colors with ""highlights"" mm I dont think so, and then when she did the my hair it was so horrible.. my hair ended up with static and it was impossible for me to enjoy the night out because my hair was flying all over!!! I paid 180 for NOTHING seriously!! i think the salon is very expensive and they give you less than average results! Dont go with Erica!! Pros: ambience Cons: really bad hair color more

I thought to myself, "Self. You should try out that place." Two weeks later, I needed a haircut and went in. Wow! It was the best haircut I ever! I saw Kashmir. I read so many reviews on this salon before finally deciding to take a chance and they all said nice things.Pricey but ok. I don't mind the price as long as I get what I want. I wanted a cut/color, brought a picture of exactly what i want and had before, my hair has the right texture, i had the cut before and it worked but somehow i left the salon with a pale resemblance of what i wanted. and after i washed my hair was so hard to manage because the cut is not correct. the color is ok, again not what i really wanted. and really, i think after spending 400$ with all tips included, i should love what i see,right? i'm very upset and don't even want to go back for a correction because they fail the first time... Ashley ( along with all of the stylist at JJStudio) will never let you leave her chair unhappy with your haircut or style. The first time I went to ashley she cut my hair for over an hour because I kept changing my mind and asking for more layers or to cut my hair shorter. I left 100% satisfied and have been going to ashley for all of my hair needs. With Highlights, she is an artist!!! i felt like she worked on my hair as if it were her own personal masterpiece! She blended all of my many different hair colors to work together and look so incredibly natural. I have gone from light brown, to super blonde highlights, to very dark brown almost black hair and she always makes my hair look great!!! Ashley just knows what she is doing and takes such pride in her work. Very personable and super easy to talk to! Not only is she a great stylist but a great person as well. She makes the whole experience marvelous and enjoyable. So happy to have met her! I have truly been blessed by the hair gods and I strongly recommend her!! Many of my friends have gone to her and love her as much as i do. My newest friend who just moved to Boston made an appointment with her today. went for a partial foil last week. made me wait 25 min - no explanation. highlights were decent, but for $165 I expected to be pampered and believe it or not she did not eve dry my hair (I had to do it myself) they said that would be additional $95 JUST FOR DRYING . but the worst part it shhe had 2 clients scheduled at once - so was running between us - stressed out - for this kind of price - are you kidding me.
